Ok, let’s start with some context:

She was in love with the young guy as they were younger.

They were even about to marry. He was away for 6 months and she became very ill in the meantime.

She got smallpox and barely survived it… but had these massive scars on her face as a result of her illness.

She hid from him and canceled their relationship.

Years later she became a … well… masked prostitute… for the wealthy.

This way she could earn a living while hiding (most of) her face.

Well, I really admire his restraint… I mean she teases him all the time, hiding her face behind that mask.

He doesn’t even try to unmask her, even as they have sex! That is some respect.

But ok, on the other hand….it must be also insanely thrilling… to be in love with that masked woman, desiring her, but not unmasking her… despite that many opportunities.

And it takes A LOT of trust from her side, letting him that close while hiding under that mask.

Ironically she is then weirdly unmasked by that woman that she has known since she was down with the “disfigured” smallpox victims (earlier in the movie).

The unmasking is down quite well, a “NO!” and a great reaction to the unmasking!

Hiding her face between her hands… until she gives in and takes them away revealing her face to the guy.

He is the first of her customers who sees her face.

Later on, the young(er) guy also learns her secret identity… but without an unmasking, resulting in a lame reveal.

But the unmasking that we get … is pretty great, especially after all that screentime with her under the mask.

I stumbled upon this one by pure chance.

I saw the movie poster and knew….. this one should be interesting 😉

There are PLENTY of fitting scenes in this movie… basically half the movie.

I decided to make this one a two-parter.

I will post two scenes today and will make another video(s) for next Sunday.

And I will not reveal the movie title today… I will do that next Sunday to build up some anticipation.

You know… “anticipation is half the pleasure” or as we would say here “anticipation is the best pleasure” (translated)  😉

I think these scenes are a perfect example of how to build up some tension.

She sits in front of a mirror, and slowly puts her mask on, while the camera never shows her face 🙂

She also puts on the hat with the veil, which is basically a second mask to disguise her further.

Everyone is watching her as the mysterious, masked woman enters the opera.

The men especially get intrigued while the women rather get ….jealous 😉

I love the tension in the dialogue. The two men don’t know who is behind the mask and the guy next to her also speaks about how “cruel” she is by hiding her beautiful face.

Damn, that is a verrry sexy scene for me!

That’s how you make an erotic scene without showing anything at all… in several ways.

2 masked female assassins slice their way through goon army [Blog exclusive]

Thanks a lot to the nice guy who recommended this one to me!

I watched the whole movie, but the start scene is quite spectacular and has 2 masked female assassins in it 🙂

The video wasn’t welcome on YouTube, even in a short(er) version with basically no violence.

Still, I had to do some cuts so the video wouldn’t get too big/long.

Yeah, the goons are rather stupid and often stay around in the back while only one or two are fighting against one of the masked women.

And this movie often drifts into “gore porn” as I would call it, especially later on.

I don’t mind violence at all (in movies!), but it’s overdone here for my taste… but ok… some like exactly that.

The fight choreography in the movie is pretty awesome, especially for a Netflix movie from Indonesia.

What is really weird is that she passes out from getting shot several times??? I mean yeah, it must hurt a lot, even with a bulletproof vest.

But it’s the first time that I see someone getting shot unconscious (without being severely wounded).

I do love how he unmasks her! Yeah, sadly she is unconscious… BUT… he checks her mask, his hands all over it.

Then he realizes that he has to open a zipper so he can unmask her, really nice!

I like it a LOT, when the unmasking isn’t made too easy 🙂

Her hood is still in place, but I would say it counts as an unmasking.

The unmasking is done really well, even an additional short scene with her unmasked face would have been nice.

A masked female Zorro – Scenes 2+3 – Zorro VS Zorro [Blog exclusive]

Yeah, her interpretation of being Zorro is rather …..unusual 😆

At this point in the story, she is more like a villainess than a heroine.

I really enjoy the scenes a lot where she is masked. It’s a good disguise (apart from the face paint she is also using without the mask) and besides her people and him, nobody knows who she is underneath that mask.

The secret identity is intact. But that might change in a future episode… 😉

The quick self-unmasking and re-masking here is also a nice treat in this one.

I will post more from this show in the upcoming weeks.

A masked female Zorro – Hostages at the bank – Scene 1 – [Blog exclusive][…..and no, it’s NOT the Queen of Swords]

I saw the poster for this TV show some weeks back and started watching it as it made me curious enough.

And damn… I found a gold mine 🙂

The main hero of a show is a guy who becomes Zorro… so far, so normal.

But… there is a woman who thinks that it’s her right/duty to become the next Zorro… instead of the guy.

And she has quite a lot of scenes in mask and costume 🙂

Well, this is only her first scene in mask and costume.

Luckily she has a lot of appearances and there are also some secret identity “issues” 🙂

Also, I like that … as she is often fighting against the male “all good” Zorro…. she is also a villainess.

In comparison to the Queen of Swords her outfit and mask are less sexy but her mask and hat are a much better disguise!

With that mask and hat, she covers her face really well and it fits to being a female version of Zorro.

Ok, the fact that she has that exact black face paint as Zorro and in her “normal” life is pretty…. stupid, but ok… I can ignore that.

I will post more scenes with her in the upcoming weeks.

Masked Sydney Sweeney on a special mission at a costume party

My last post was about the upcoming movie “Madame Web” with the gorgeous Sydney Sweeney.

She is also masked in another movie and that one I would like to feature today!

She and her partner love to spy on the neighbors with binoculars and now they even wanna install a microphone at the apartment of a guy across the street!

So they go to a party that he is hosting to have fun and put that microphone in place there…

Well, with that wig and mask… she is disguised very well!

A shame that there isn’t a scene in it with an unmasking or costume change.

Also, I do like that she is wearing a pantyhose with her costume even though that feature is mostly hidden in the dark or off-screen.

The masked guy even touches her pantyhosed legs as he is carrying her on his shoulder…. #naughty

In this scene, she is already pretty intrigued by him and they will have a very sexy scene later on where Sydney is showing … a lot!

If you wanna see Sydney’s sexy twins… you should check out the whole movie 😉

Madame Web – [Movie – 2024 – with Sydney Sweeney]

Somehow, I forgot to post about this one so far…

On February 14 this movie will be released:

Well, I don’t know if this will be a good movie.

I do know that I love to see Sydney Sweeney in such a costume and mask! 🙂

Since I saw her in the first season of “The White Lotus” she has become my new favorite (young) actress.

I even saw the show “Euphoria” just for her scenes as I really didn’t like the show itself with all the crazy addicts in it.

If you wanna see “more” of her you should definitely check out “The Voyeurs“.

This movie has 3 Spider-women(!) in it… even only one is (barely) properly masked for me.

I don’t expect any big secret identity issues or even unmasking scenes… but seeing Sydney Sweeney in that costume and mask… is already awesome.

I hope she will have proper screen time in costume.

Also, I do hope that her mask is actually “real” and not CGI …. but I’m not sure so far.

I look forward to seeing this one and will check it out in the cinema in the first week.

My TOP 25 scenes from the Black Scorpion TV show!

I created this video last year for the annual “October to Remember” event on the “Behind the Mask” forum.

It’s time that the video now gets available for visitors here and on my YouTube channel as well!

Here is the original text from my forum post then:

I worked on this over a couple of hours, skipped through the whole season, made notes, and rated scenes.
Then I cut every scene to around 30 seconds or so.
I edited all of that together and added some pictures, lettering, and some score.

So what did I make?
Quite a long video with my TOP 25 scenes of the Black Scorpion show.
My initial idea was to make a TOP 22… because of 22 episodes… but well…. 25 sounds cooler.
I could have made a TOP 50 with good scenes as well… but I think this video took long enough.
I will upload this one to my blog in December… but for the next … at least … 5 weeks this is an exclusive video for this site (unlisted on Youtube).
Between the TOP 10 scenes, you will see official Black Scorpion promo pictures.

So, take your time (15 minutes) and I hope you enjoy it!
….perhaps you might even wanna make a game out of it in terms of guessing which scenes will be in the TOP 10 or so….
…. the first scene will begin after 15 seconds….

You will find the rank of the scene in my ranking and info from which episode it is in the line at the bottom.

Some scenes were edited to make them a little more compact… so that the video wouldn’t get too long.

I thought about putting headlines into the video like “Black Scorpion gets unmasked by Flashpoint” … but that would spoil it… for those few who don’t know these scenes.

Three masked women on a shootout/heist [Blog exclusive]

I saw the poster for this TV show and immediately knew that this show would be interesting…. 🙂

So I watched the entire season and wasn’t disappointed!

The show centers around one crazy bank heist which is shown in flashbacks in several episodes.

I guess I could make multiple posts about this one, but I rather just concentrate on the most interesting scene, in terms of masks.

Let’s start with the bad aspects:

There is no unmasking action or any secret identity issues in this scene and the entire show. 🙁

But… on the good side:

You have three hot women in masks… and that in a quite lengthy heist! Some day I have to re-edit the whole heist scene from all the episodes into one video.

Which will be quite difficult with all the time jumps…

Plus the masks are very interesting with that unusual look! They offer quite a good disguise.

It’s a shame that there were so many guards in that heist… but it’s just a massive shootout. Pretty cool, but only in regard to stylish action scenes.

In my version, I would have included some hand-to-hand combat scenes with guards who are curious to see who is under these masks 😉

All in all, I like the whole season, as is a good thriller show with interesting characters.

I will re-watch this one in some years.

I don’t think there will be a second season, as the storyline is “finished”, but I wouldn’t mind a second season… with some more masked women of course 😉

Masked “Supergirl” from Indonesia gets UNMASKED by villainess!

Time for another post with the masked “Supergirl” from Indonesia!

Again she battles a masked villainess in front of a guy they both love…. and this time Supergirl gets unmasked!

Again: That stunt double of the villainess! So… bad! The stunt double should wear a huge sign that says “stunt double”… it is SOOOO obvious 😆

But enough of that…

You can barely see that the villainess has something in her hand as it she pulls it back from Supergirl’s face.

The unmasking itself isn’t shown… 🙁

I like that Supergirl’s hair is hiding her identity here and she is somehow shocked by that unmasking.

Oddly enough the villainess then kicks Supergirl in the back…. wasn’t she standing in front of her?

Supergirl is knocked out, the perfect opportunity for the villainess to take a good look at that unmasked face!

But she just runs away with the guy…. ARGHHH! WHY?

Perhaps the explanation is given in the dialogue… I can only guess.

However, it’s really great how she realizes that her mask isn’t there anymore as she wakes up 🙂

Also, her relieved face as she re-masks herself is well done!

All in all it’s a good scene with some flaws in my opinion.

Again, it’s a shame that there are no subtitles (or a dub).

Time for another post with the masked “Supergirl” from Indonesia!

Yeah, it’s not Sunday as usual, but on Sunday I will make the VIP club update post as it is the first of the month then.

This time she battles a masked villainess in front of a guy they both love.

First of all: That stunt double! WTF! No boots, the suit isn’t tight at all, and I think that is not even a woman! How embarrassing…

Easily one of the worst stunt doubles I ever saw… if not THE worst!

I mean that is so distracting and bizarre! How did they think they could get away with that?

I guess they just didn’t care 😆

But besides that….. a really nice scene!

Not often you see a villainess getting unmasked by a (masked) superheroine!

The shocked faces as the result of that unmasking are a nice touch… even if it is overplayed/overacted.

But it’s cool that they know each other so the unmasking has a real impact! 🙂

Also, it looks like the villainess is trying to unmask Supergirl as her hands are reaching for her mask/head!?!

Even though there are some punch sounds…. hmh, not 100% clear.

A nice bonus that Supergirl is holding that mask and the villainess retakes it quickly 🙂

Again, it’s a shame that there are no subtitles (or a dub).

A heist with two masked women in broad daylight!

I really like this video, and I also hate it! Why? More on that later on…

I stumbled upon this scene as I watch this show for a while and finally started watching it again.

Ok, where to start?

I watched the episode and the blonde master thief was introduced. The police were never able to prove any of her thefts and she was planning something.

Of course, my fantasy imagined a great heist scene where she would battle some cops who tried to stop and unmask her.

I was really thrilled by the possibilities 🙂

Then she goes on a heist, and puts up a great mask …. and you might imagine how I reacted to the scene that followed 😉

I cursed at my TV as she was running away and unmasked herself for NO reason! DAMN IT! WHY????????

I mean the police already predicted she would show up there and that’s why all the cops were on the scene undercover.

But she is still masked and could escape. WHY does she unmask herself as she is running away?

That makes no sense at all. I mean as long she is masked she is still “safe” as the cops have no proof that she did it.

It would have been so great if Nolan (the guy in the security dude uniform) would wrestle her down and unmask after a fight… but NO, of course not!

It’s a real trope by now that masked women always unmask themselves for no reason.

That drives me crazy! Another wasted opportunity 🙁

I mean she is already wearing a nice catsuit (sort of) and the mask in combination with the cap is a great disguise… but they screw it up.

Also, it is quite odd that she is on a heist and is wearing these ankle boots with heels but… ok, not as crazy/unrealistic as a Catwoman with stiletto heels (TDKR)….even she was insanely sexy.

The second masked woman is just a little bonus as she is just a nameless henchwoman.

In my imagination, she would have also prevented the unmasking at a nightly heist (without a crew) and would then re-appear in later episodes 😉

Well, I don’t write these scripts…. hopefully, there will be more masked women in the show.

Masked highwayWOman in action! #1

In this post we have a highwayman in action, well, and as it is a post on this blog….a highwayWOman is actually more precise.

Well, I don’t know how they get fooled into thinking it is a highwayMAN that is before them…

Yes, it’s rather dark and yes, she perfectly uses a male voice and is disguised really well.

I still think that you should be able to get that this is actually a woman under these masks.

But ok, not really an important issue.

I really like her mask combo with that hat, the eye mask, and the cloth, very effective…. reminded me a lot of the Nightwatchman and HER 3 part mask combo.

The scene is pretty funny as well, as Dr. Who just stumbles around in his modern clothes and interrupts the robbery.

Of course, I would have preferred her to be unmasked by him… but the self-unmasking is nice.

Especially as she reveals herself to be a rather famous GoT star (the actress).

I will make another post about her where I will reveal the exact episode of Dr. Who where these scenes can be found.

A masked female agent on a burglary

In this one, two masked agents break into a house to retrieve some valuable data.

A good disguise and quite a dramatic turn of events.

I think she overreacted big time, I mean her partner was beaten with a bat, ok, but that’s no reason to shoot someone.

And if she shoots it doesn’t need to be a deadly shot.

Ok, it was pretty dark… but that boy with his bright shirt was still visible well enough…

All in all a solid scene.

Later in the movie, we have terrorists in gas masks. There is also one female terrorist, but she is infiltrating the event as a waitress and the only terrorist that doesn’t wear a gas mask at any time.

DAMN! A missed opportunity….

The Flash catches a masked female thief….

…who returns a stolen item!? Quite an odd thief!

So, finally a new interesting scene from the Flash TV show for this blog!

After watching the first 13 episodes of the last season 8 I decided to take a break from the Flash as the show was getting less and less interesting for me over the last years.

The beginning of season 8 was nice as it had the big Flash Armageddon event where Batwoman and Canary showed up.

After these episodes, the season got quickly rather boring for me. Weird storylines and lame action aren’t good things to have 😉

But I knew that the end of the season would have some episodes that might be interesting for this blog so I resumed watching the show.

Today I wanna show the first scene with a very interesting character, and this is only the start… I will make another post about her in a real costume next weekend.

Well, I like the mask combo with the hood plus the half mask covering the lower part of her face.

Seemingly it’s forbidden that someone ….even tries… to unmask a masked woman in a movie or TV show these days…. so I had no big hopes that the Flash would actually unmask her.

So, her self-unmasking was rather easy to predict 😉

But with the hood and the half mask, it’s at least a good reveal as her face was covered really well.

And as I said, this is only the beginning… she will have a really good costume and cowl after this episode 🙂
