Masked female vigilantes vs bad guys (and the police) – [great martial arts] – Video 2

Ok, I’ve known about this one for ages. I even have a version with English subtitles, but the guy who made those doesn’t want folks to repost his work, which is ok for me.

So, here is a version without subtitles (and 2 fewer logos).  In these scenes, there is a bit of dialogue, though…
Here, the title isn’t fully correct, as she is fighting her love, who works for the police…

Damn! I love such a fight with that constellation!

He is intrigued by the masked women. She loved him before her “death” and is basically still in love with him.

But she can’t let him know that she is still alive and under that mask.

The tension is awesome for me! She looks great in that catsuit and mask, and the martial arts are again really cool 🙂

One false move by her, one good attack, and he could yank off her mask! And they are so close together while they fight….

Again, some sounds are too loud for me, but that’s fitting to the style of the show.

Great that they both get backup and they have this standoff. The police are unsure about these masked vigilantes; they start to understand that they aren’t really the bad guys…

Of course the masked vigilantes are still the enemy in some way, and they naturally don’t wanna be arrested…

I think that is one of the best fight scenes with a masked woman vs a guy that have been done so far!

Why “vigilantes” when there is only one in this video… well, there will be 3 more in that show 😉

Yeah, the sound design here isn’t great, some fight noises are too loud, and some double takes are a bit weird…. for me.

But… some of these martial arts scenes are pretty damn spectacular!

It’s a TV show from Thailand that didn’t have a big budget… to western standards.

But they surely know how to create some great fight scenes! 🙂

The lady in the catsuit and mask is the boss of the team, which has 3 more(!) women in such outfits.

The mask type here is used only very early on and gets replaced by a similar but better design.

The show is plagued by massive soap opera elements…

The good guy here is a detective, while she is his lost love who died and then later got revived by a crazy science guy … yeah, no kidding.

Her persona has changed, and the new self doesn’t want him to know that she is still around.

But the action in the show is (mostly) great…. and you have 4 masked women in such catsuits in plenty of fight scenes!

The fight here with the villainess is spectacular, and there are some close calls where the villainess was pretty close to unmasking her… (if she had the plan to do that)

(The villainess survives and runs away to fight another day)

I also like how the guy pins her down while his hand was already on the fabric of her mask… at least the lower part that covered her throat.

A good peril scene for sure.

A sexy masked woman in a catsuit and overknee boots? As the lead actress of a TV show?

Sounds great!

Sounds great on paper… but the show barely delivers on that premise…

First, it’s a really weird TV show with odd comedy and lots of soap-opera elements.

And she isn’t that much in costume, sadly.

Also, there aren’t big secret identity issues, at least from what I have seen.

No one tries to unmask her; that is scandalous! 😉

The costume is pretty cool, but the material and color… aren’t exactly my taste. #blackrubber #blackleather

The mask isn’t the best disguise, but it works well enough, I would say.

The show has more scenes with her in costume, but these are already the best… in my opinion.

Serpentik – The final car chase scene with the awesome masked lady – [Hall of Fame]

Well, if you haven’t seen the whole movie… you might be pretty confused by now 😉

A lot is open for interpretation.

Simply put, the old guy relives his youth as he was a Bond-like agent chasing Serpentik, the masked woman who always escapes him.

He is obsessed with her (I fully understand that!) and tries to find out who is behind the mask.

If that all has happened really, or how much of it is just a fantasy… that’s not fully clear.

The comic scenes are a great visual addition to it.

They cheated again with her unmasking here, as we don’t see the process of the unmasking, and not even the exposed face that was hiding behind the mask.

Now she is masked by her hair as they fall down the cliff.

Unusual that we see his old version with her young version here.

I really like the scene as we get some more seconds with Serpentik, and all the action is done really cool with the music and the comic panels.

I would kill for a whole movie with Serpentik as the lead character… but I may have written that before… but I need to repeat it once more 😉

This is really crazy! In a good way 🙂

Yeah, I know that it is not actually one person wearing all these faces, as it rather symbolizes his endless hunt to unmask his arch-nemesis.

You can interpret this scene in many ways… but I just like the artsy end-product.

Ok, the “main” unmasking (with the black Serpentik mask) is very disappointing as it happens off-screen and is completely ridiculous.

So he rolls around with her and slides off her mask with that knife in a second…without even hurting her at all?

Well, then he would be the ultimate knife-master of the universe 😆

I get it, perhaps they didn’t find a way for a smooth unmasking that would look really good with the tight leather mask.

Or maybe they went with the easiest solution to portray her unmasking… by just not showing it.

Anyway, I love how he ties her up, finally getting control of her.

The fingernail scene is quite violent, but it makes sense since he must get rid of that danger.

The first face mask unmasking is great as he slowly rips it at first.

I also love how his hand is inside the one face mask as he stretches it violently to pull it off.

The way she stops his final unmasking attempt is done really well.

Yeah, they do cheat quite a bit with some unmaskings, but yeah…. it should be very difficult to show that much better without a much bigger budget.

All in all, I LOVE the whole scene as it has so much “mask content” in it.

Certainly a scene I will re-watch over and over….again.

Yeah, the movie can be confusing… especially when you see only bits and parts of it 😉

That’s why you should see the whole thing.

But just some explanations:

The old guy at the beginning is the older version of the guy who sits at the table with her… not too hard to get.

He is thinking about past encounters with his arch-nemesis, Serpentik. The woman in the black leather catsuit.

He always tries to get her, tries to unmask her.

The film also suggests that he made up these scenes in his mind, that it was all just a movie (within the movie)?

But, that’s not clear….

I will make one more video from this great movie.

Needless to say, I LOVE her costume and mask!

Black leather catsuit and that mask… it doesn’t get much better than that… in my opinion.

These are the first appearances of Serpentik in the movie.

She is the arch-nemesis of the hero. He wants to get her, he wants to unmask her.

She hides behind her mask… and even the face behind the mask… is a mask!

He is obsessed with her… which I can totally understand! 😉

It’s a bit odd that she doesn’t wear her usual mask in the bar. The audience (and all of those in the bar) thinks that she is fighting unmasked… but we see that she is actually wearing a face mask.

And not only one!?! But we will come to that later….

This scene is the most violent scene the movie has to offer, and damn… she is really killing those goons right and left!

Her arsenal is quite something. Deadly heels, razor-sharp claws, and little hooks in her hair(!).

Kind of a very violent/over-the-top Catwoman.

I love the twist and the end as she is laughing while ripping off her mask. A very sexy scene!

And even that face is just one of many…

By the way: Her leather catsuit is ….well…. AWESOME!

I will make at least one more post about this already legendary movie!

This TV show with 28 (!) episodes has some nice fight scenes with masked women in it + a hot lady in a catsuit who also fights in some scenes!

Yeah, only short scenes, but they are quite good.

The first lady has a solid costume and mask. An interesting aspect that she added that veil element to her big eye mask.

All in all, a solid disguise. The fight is done well, a shame she just walks off and he does nothing about it…. really weird.

Would be nice to understand what he is saying, but I don’t understand the language (Indonesian).

The fight with the catsuit lady is done really well for my taste. Nice slowmo shots.

A real shame that she doesn’t wear a mask.

But the other scene was so short, and so I added the scene as it was well made…. in my opinion.

A Catwoman in the garden and a masked female thief at night

This one was recommended on Behind the Mask a while ago (thanks again!), and it’s finally time to post about it!

One episode of a 90s TV show with 2 interesting scenes in it!

Sadly, the picture quality is rather bad… but it’s a rather rare TV show from the 90s, so you won’t find DVD or Blu-ray quality in such a case 🙁

Also, both scenes are quite short, especially the 2nd one, where you basically don’t get a single good look at the masked woman.

But enough complaining… I especially love the first scene! I mean, a wheel-flipping Catwoman in such a suit and mask? In the garden? In broad daylight?

Well, he is one lucky bastard! I wouldn’t mind being “attacked” like that….

The mask doesn’t really work for her as he quickly finds out who she is… yeah, the cowl isn’t a great disguise, but she certainly looks great in the suit and mask!

I highly suspect that is a stuntwoman in the suit at first… great job!

Also, a nice reveal when the mask comes off, even though there is a cut after she reaches for it.

I don’t know the reason why she is running around like that… will have to see the whole episode.

I guess she was practicing and wanted to get the role in a movie.

The second scene is a nice addition, even though it’s a shame the masked thief wasn’t shown properly at all.

You just see a masked figure running away from the guy, and she immediately gets unmasked… which isn’t shown properly as well.

Still, a masked female thief gets chased and unmasked… so I am glad the scene is in the episode.

In the end, it’s quite a smashing episode if you have 2 scenes like that in it 🙂

This one got a limited release here in Germany, and I tried to watch it in the cinema in early October.

It took several weeks till it finally got released here in my town in a rather small cinema.

I watched it and was …quite… flashed… to say at least.

I hate this scene! (and was cursing at my TV as I saw it)

…but I also love this scene!

These damn screenwriters/producers!

Yeah, let her steal something at night!

The villainess is there, the cops are there, and there are cameras everywhere!!!

She has a secret identity (I think the villainess already knows by now)

But, for no logical reason whatsoever… she doesn’t wear a mask!!!

WHYYYYYYYY??????????

Yeah, the old “let’s present the pretty face of our actress” trope… however unlogical as hell it is here… again!

I mean, this scene does have great tension… but it could be so much better, IF she would wear a mask!

Technically, you would be right to say that this scene doesn’t belong here… as she doesn’t wear a mask.

But I made an exception.

Because I LOVE how the police have her surrounded at gunpoint! I love how she desperately hides her face behind her hand.

She knows that it would be over for her if they found out! Everything is at stake for her.

She is lucky that they are not trigger-happy, and she can escape in the end.

Also, the scene with the injured cop is great, with some background story.

They were in love once (still are?) and now he finally sees her in the catsuit… but without a mask!

Lucky for her, he is already barely conscious…

So again, wouldn’t it be nice to wear a mask if you wanna hide your identity during your nightly criminal activities??? 😉

But well… producers said… NO!

In my version, the female detective (who really hates her) would have reached for her (secured) mask.

Pulling on it, yanking on it, stretching the fabric.

You would see the panic in her eyes, pleading.

But finally, she would be desperate enough to break free at gunpoint and jump in the river.

Well, that is quite a bizarre mask!

Is it supposed to frighten the opponents? Is it for protection? Is it to conceal her identity?

I would say only the first aspect might really work here.

It can’t be for protection, as she unmasks as soon as she really gets into a fight.

It can’t be for concealing her identity… for the same reason. Unless… these folks already know her secret identity, and that’s why she takes it off there?

Would love to know more about her, but I only know the scenes from the video.

The original video is on Youtube as well. I just edited it and made it about two minutes shorter (scenes without her).

Ok, back to her mask. I like that it disguises her really well… it’s really unusual, that’s cool as well.

I don’t like the see-through parts and all the metal buttons, but ok.

It’s a shame that she takes the mask off on her own.

It would have been great if she had protected a real secret identity with it and the guys would try to unmask her.

The catsuit is a nice bonus 🙂

A Masked female thief on the Eiffel Tower – Scenes 1 and 2 – [Three Sisters #1]

Thanks again to the nice guy who recommended me this one weeks ago!

For a while, I couldn’t get hold of this TV show, as I wanted to watch the whole thing in a language that I understand.

But now the show was aired/streamed on German TV, and I watched the whole thing.

It was even featured quite big in the TV magazine that I get…. so I had no chance of not stumbling upon it.

And the show has plenty of interesting scenes to offer 🙂

I enjoyed watching the show quite a lot, even though it did frustrate me a LOT as well… from the “mask” perspective.

These scenes already hint at certain problems of the show.

She appears in her mask, runs away from cops… great suspense, great setting… and she looks hot in her catsuit and mask.

Ok, I get that she unmasks while she is climbing, her face is hidden, more or less.

But then she escapes from the tower and runs around in the city, she NEVER puts on her mask back on again!?!! WHY?!?!?!

That makes no sense at all! But I guess it was the old “we can’t hide the face of our beautiful actress behind a mask for too long” trope. Damn producers!

So, she may go around without her mask, even though the danger of anyone seeing her (or her getting caught by a camera) is insanely high!

The villainess sees her face, and some civilians may have gotten a pretty good look at her as well.

But let’s ignore logic and rather present her pretty face without a mask 🙁

Damn, I cursed at my TV when I saw it 😆

Still, it is a great chase on the tower, I love the suspension of a masked woman like her being chased. A great thrill!

And that detective is actually in love with the woman behind the mask… which makes it even better 🙂

Yeah… I know … you could argue that she isn’t really masked as she isn’t visible at all.

At least not in a traditional way.

But in order to be invisible, she must be masked in order to be invisible. 😉

So… for me, it “counts”.

I decided to start with the action scene without showing her face prior, so the reveal would have a bigger effect for you guys (more mystery).

But I did wanna show a bit of her without her suit, so I just switched the two scenes.

I love that she gets unmasked without being unconscious or restrained (handcuffs)… a nicely done unmasking!

And I am happy that we get to see a bit of her right before the unmasking…. even if it’s only some shapes.

It’s a little uncool that the two find out about her being in that suit before the unmasking and already knew who would be in it.

Yeah, there is more of the invisible woman in the episode, but you literally see nothing of her… so I won’t post these scenes.

The whole concept of the episode is pretty cool. A bit too “fantastic” perhaps for a police TV show… but I like it to bring in some more variety.
