A woman gets chased by a monster…. and runs into a woman in a gas mask!

I am currently re-watching a TV show that I enjoyed a lot during the first watch nearly 10 years ago. For years I have had it on Blu-ray already… and now it was time to finally watch it for a second time!

And quickly there was a scene that fits very well on this blog! Ok, it would fit also on my other blog… but I decided that it fits a little better on this one.

So, what do we have here?

A female doctor who runs from a monster… and runs into a masked woman in a gas mask!

I cut out several seconds of the monster getting hurt in the door (arm breaks) so that Youtube won’t have a problem with it.

Damn, that scene was a great surprise back then 🙂

A mysterious woman in a gas mask? Damn, I wouldn’t mind running into such a sight…

A great disguise with the added hood (+the breathing gear factor).

Sadly, the reveal is cut short as the camera doesn’t show the final unmasking.

I guess due to the added hood and her long hair which would look a little “messy” if you pull the mask off.

Would have loved to see that moment as well.

But I love the mystery as soon as the female doctor sees her for the first time.

How is she? Why is she wearing that outfit?

She doesn’t know that she can’t get the crazy virus by air and did come up with that outfit.

A good choice as we so get to see her like that. 🙂

Of course, I would have loved to see someone trying to unmask her or ripping off that filter… in another scenario… but no luck.

The breathing sounds are done really well and the filter with the short air hose is a great look and bonus as I do love air hoses on breathing devices.

All in all a really good scene!

In earlier episodes two doctors were wearing quite tight hazmat suits in white… if you are interested in that.

Will continue to watch the season and hope there are some more scenes like this one.

So, what makes a good ASMR video for me?

Obviously, the lady and her costume in such an ASMR video are extremely important!

She must be able to portray a sexy and fascinating character.

Plus I need a solid costume and a good mask!

An otherwise good video quickly gets ruined by a crappy 5$ costume…

She must be disguised well enough so that there is a real mystery of “who is behind that mask?”

Also, I love it when there is a good scenario behind it! Like a tied-up Batman that Catwoman is talking to.

She plays with him, teases him, and has an interesting chat with him with some sexy lines in it.

Plus I don’t want too silly elements in it… like a Catwoman who is pouring for minutes or plays with bubble wrap. That is just… weird!

Of course, any talk about secret identities and masks is highly welcome!

And if the character plays with her mask or even unmasks…. that’s a big bonus!

Some time ago I read about this new show and the title already sounded promising.

Out of a hunch I investigated as I hoped to find a masked woman in this one… and I wasn’t disappointed 🙂

Thought about making a longer video… but it’s a new show so I had to end it there to increase the chance it could be on YouTube.

I love the tension building buildup towards the unmaskings 🙂

Obviously, the good ninja was expecting someone else under the mask, it would certainly be interesting to know.

I haven’t seen the whole episode or season yet, maybe I will.

The reveal of the masked evil woman was done really well as she slowly unmasks and then you see her creepy smile after the reveal 🙂

I like that both quickly put their masks back on, makes a lot of sense, especially with the villainess as that heavy mask also protects her face.

A nice bonus to have a third masked woman as well… even the colors of her outfit are quite ….uncool to say at least.

That scene is the highlight of the season when it comes to masked women… as far as I know.

But perhaps I find a little more if I watch the whole thing instead of skipping through it.

The episode title is “Mask Games”… wow, that’s a verrry promising title already.

As I read it I had especially high hopes for the episode… and well, I wasn’t disappointed 🙂

Yeah, it’s uncool that she is unconscious. But it’s not just the “ordinary” self-unmasking …and she gets unmasked in front of several witnesses!

Her secret is now completely ruined! Most of these folks didn’t even know that a woman was under that mask.

Out of those… only the male lead of the show knew.

The camera perspective isn’t so good as she gets unmasked, as the hand gets in the way and partly blocks the view.

Still… a good unmasking and I like that they added the “Zorro unmasked” extra shot.

A good example of that an unmasking is even more satisfying when it happens in episode 6 of a TV show.

It was recommended a while ago… but since my video edits of this one weren’t welcome on YouTube, it got postponed.

In this one, a masked lady has a guy tied up in her basement and keeps him as a prisoner there!

Quite an unusual scenario…

Well, I love the tension! How she hides under that mask so that her evil prisoner won’t find out who she is.

It drives me mad that he recognized her eyes and her voice and thereby found out who she is … even with the pretty good mask she used.

She was one of dozens of patients that guy had in the last weeks… so I find it really hard to believe that he would recognize her from her voice and the little of her that he

can see.

If that would work like that most superhero masks would be pretty useless 😉 … even a good disguise like the Batman cowl.

As I watched this movie I really hoped that the bad guy would be able to free himself and then unmask her in a nice struggle.

But he failed big time… 🙁

Nonetheless, I really like this scenario and the tension… as long as he didn’t know who the masked woman was.

A villainess …hidden in bandages

This one is certainly a bit unusual… as I read about it at first I wasn’t thrilled, but then I watched the scene … and yeah, it’s pretty great!

Well, that is a great reveal of a villainess! And it’s no other than Gina Gershon (“Bound”)!

The music fits perfectly and Gershon plays it really well as she surprises her former protege who is now a media star.

I will watch the full episode the next days so I don’t know the full backstory… yet.

Looking forward to how the villainess gets caught in the end.

But it clearly seems that Vanessa (Gina Gershon) has some major issues with the famous doctor 😉

It’s quite a brutal kill, even it isn’t shown fully.

And we get a second unmasking as the victim …whose face is surprisingly intact… gets unmasked as well!

Yeah, these bandages aren’t a sexy mask… especially as you expect to see something … more or less…. gross when they come off.

But they provide a great disguise for sure.

I was a young teenager when this movie came out and really enjoyed it… and it’s still fun to watch!

The reveal, that this sneaky, masked figure is a woman, let alone Marian… is certainly well made, as you don’t expect to find a woman under the mask, especially in such a scenario.

Yeah, the mask isn’t particularly stylish or sexy… but it’s a great and unusual disguise as it covers up nearly everything.

Even it should be quite difficult to see a lot from the inside of the mask…

I wonder why Marian chose that outfit? Was she wearing it before? Just to defend her home, or was she in some vigilante business before?

I mean a masked Marian reminds me of a certain TV show where she is a masked vigilante with the deceiving name “Nightwatchman”.

Well, it certainly fooled the audience and Robin.

Well, if you know the Bond movies… you should immediately have recognized her!

Yeah, that is Maud Adams who was a Bond girl in not just one… but two Bond movies (“The Man with the Golden Gun” & “Octopussy”)!

The movie in general has an interesting cast… but seemingly is pretty much forgotten since the best available source… is a VHS rip. 🙁

I will watch it in the next few days as I am curious enough to see the whole thing.

But now to the scene itself:

I already love the opening as she is breathing (oddly) heavily on that mouthpiece. Was she running low on air or was she just… a little …. excited? 😉

Sadly… just a very short scene… but would also be somehow fitting to my other blog Frogwoman Org!

Also quite cool that she is skating out of the place! Certainly haven’t seen a masked woman doing that so far…

The unmasking and reveal are done well… I was certainly surprised to find Maud Adams under that mask!

Cool that she transforms quickly into a regular outfit and thereby fools the security guards 🙂

Of course, I would have preferred if that would have fought against them and they (at least) tried to unmask her…

But all in all, a really cool scene!

The Queen of Swords and an imposter – Post 1 – The imposter gets UNMASKED!

I already had the French DVD set of Queen of Swords in my collection (with English audio on it as well).

But when they released a German DVD set as well last year… I just had to have it too.

These days I am rewatching the complete show with its 22 episodes and was reminded that my posts about the highlights of the show here… are incomplete.

That has to change!

Yeah, well… the fact that she is an imposter isn’t a secret for one second as she does look different, and even the mask is a bit different… at least to a regular follower of the show.

It’s nice that he starts the unmasking with “…and now for the unveiling…”, but it’s a shame she doesn’t resist or say anything.

Also, it’s quite odd that he unbinds her mask like that instead of yanking it off her head (slowly), so the camera isn’t on her face the whole time.

Certainly, this is a big moment for the two men, who then still think that they just captured the real Queen of Swords.

But Montoya realizes rather quickly that she isn’t the real one.

I will post one or more scenes from the episodes as it has a lot to offer 🙂

Spider-Gwen gets unmasked by a dinosaur (!?!) [Masks off! #48]

Time to post about this scene that is from last year.

In this one, we have several women in costumes/masks who are battling some sort of dinosaur skeleton…

Ok, first of all…. I am really NOT a fan of those “fancy” costumes/masks that are powered by technology or magic and just show up or disappear like that.

Really uncool…. I rather prefer “normal” cloth for masks as they have to be “manually” removed then.

What I do like here is that her mask is slowly disintegrating and is revealing more and more of her face! Quite a sexy transformation in this case.

Especially the big panel where her left eye is showing and her blonde hair is popping out of the mask 🙂

And I do LOVE mask damage and it looks as if her mask was just ripped open….

Sadly this whole unmasking is just the side-effect and the monster doesn’t care about her secret identity.

But… all in all a good scene!

My TOP 25 scenes from the Black Scorpion TV show!

I created this video last year for the annual “October to Remember” event on the “Behind the Mask” forum.

It’s time that the video now gets available for visitors here and on my YouTube channel as well!

Here is the original text from my forum post then:

I worked on this over a couple of hours, skipped through the whole season, made notes, and rated scenes.
Then I cut every scene to around 30 seconds or so.
I edited all of that together and added some pictures, lettering, and some score.

So what did I make?
Quite a long video with my TOP 25 scenes of the Black Scorpion show.
My initial idea was to make a TOP 22… because of 22 episodes… but well…. 25 sounds cooler.
I could have made a TOP 50 with good scenes as well… but I think this video took long enough.
I will upload this one to my blog in December… but for the next … at least … 5 weeks this is an exclusive video for this site (unlisted on Youtube).
Between the TOP 10 scenes, you will see official Black Scorpion promo pictures.

So, take your time (15 minutes) and I hope you enjoy it!
….perhaps you might even wanna make a game out of it in terms of guessing which scenes will be in the TOP 10 or so….
…. the first scene will begin after 15 seconds….

You will find the rank of the scene in my ranking and info from which episode it is in the line at the bottom.

Some scenes were edited to make them a little more compact… so that the video wouldn’t get too long.

I thought about putting headlines into the video like “Black Scorpion gets unmasked by Flashpoint” … but that would spoil it… for those few who don’t know these scenes.

… and yeah, the ending is like that on purpose. I made this version under 2 minutes short, but even that wasn’t welcome on YouTube.

The villainess and the guy are brother and sister and they are really close to each other.

They didn’t wanna get separated in prison for that long so they decided to die together…. #isntthatromanticlol

Would have been nice to have her in a mask for a longer time period and with some secret identity action… but no luck.

Nevertheless, she looks great in her mask and the closeup of her villainous entrance is really cool!

Sadly the cop already knew that she was in that bank robber crew and they actually slept together earlier in the episode.

That’s why he is not that happy with the ending 😉

Right now I have one more scene from this show that I will post in the next weeks as well.

Not the coolest mask, but a good disguise…as long no one touches it… #notsecuredatall

I like that the victim reaches behind her and unmasks the attacker, even though I guess that wasn’t her intention.

But it’s always nice to have an unmasking, especially if it’s not a self-unmasking 🙂

Ok, the revealed killer isn’t exactly as hot as you would have wanted… but it’s a nice scene all in all.

Pulling on the braid of a scorpion [Black Scorpion]

This week I wanna present 2 more scenes from the holy Black Scorpion TV show.

In these episodes, the villains grab Black Scorpion by her braid, which is a dangerous weak point in her costume.

Well, I really like these “braid grab” / “wig grab” scenes as they are actually very dangerous for Black Scorpion!

Why? Well, what would happen if the villains would go just a little further with it?

With a swift upward yank they could easily unmask Black Scorpion as the wig is attached to the mask 😉

Love how Black Scorpion holds onto her mask in the first scene as she might feel the danger as he is pulling on her wig!

Also, if a villain would yank hard on the braid/wig in a sideway movement the wig could get unattached from the mask.

And I think the mask would just fall down when the wig wouldn’t be there anymore! 😉

So, she could only hold it in place with her hands… which would make her really vulnerable and an unmasking really easy.

Lucky for her the villains didn’t go further…

The second scene is also very interesting!

The villainess pulls on her braid and Black Scorpion carefully follows…

….because she knows that her wig and mask could easily be yanked away from her… exposing her secret identity in front of all these villains!

Damn, I would love a scene where such a braid/wig yank would have been done more slowly.

The villain would play with it, teasing Black Scorpion… threatening to unmask her, and so on. 😉

Black Scorpion VS Aerobicide and her henchwomen [masked villainess]

This week I wanna present 2 scenes from a certain Black Scorpion episode.

In that episode, Black Scorpion has to fight a masked villainess called Aerobicide, a former aerobics instructor…

…. who is turned into an evil cyborg that loves to kill her victims by forcing them to overexercise…. (yeah…. really….)

Yeah, a classic “Black Scorpion gets knocked out by villain(ess) who then just leaves” scene for starters.

And actually… that is the second time that happens in that episode!

At the very beginning of the episode, she also gets knocked out by Aerobicide who then flees.

Nice touch though that the henchwomen actually wanna finish her off in this scene but Aerobicide decides against it.

Also really cool that Darcy and Aerobicde aka Suzy know each other. And Suzy wants to finish off Darcy as well….

It’s great that Black Scorpion then unmasks Suzy, even if the unmasking shot is way too short for my taste.

Really cool that here Black Scorpion unmasks a villainess, even though she knew already who Aerobicide really is.

Suzy didn’t find out about Black Scorpion’s secret identity though even though she fought both Darcy and Black Scorpion.

But ok… she is an “exercise machine” and not soooo clever.
