I can remember how HYPED I was in 2004 before the movie came out.
Well, that hype was completely crushed as I was watching it in the cinema. 🙁
The movie directed by this french madman did SO much wrong I couldn’t believe it!
The story is so bad…I think the writer(s) of this must be insane, drugged, or worse.
The idea alone to make Catwoman a shy sort of secretary in a beauty company is insane. At least they named her “Patience Phillips” so nobody thinks that could be the real Catwoman….Selina Kyle.
And that costume….even though it is sexy…..is just ridiculous!

Mask action
(unmasking attempt)
Well, there is one scene in this movie….the one scene that actually got this movie of wasted potential into my Hall of Fame.
The scene where the detective tries to unmask her. I love that scene! At least the detective tries to unmask her, he tries to find out who is under the mask. This attempt is really good and pretty special to me. I love how her confident face changes as she is afraid he would unmask her and thereby reveal Patience the woman he knows and is dating at some point!
She slaps his greedy hand away and delivers quite a sexy line…

Ok, it doesn’t have a chin strap, it isn’t secured at all….but it looks quite good and covers enough of her face.
Quite a good mask! Especially compared to other aspects of this movie.

Rest of the costume
Well, it is sexy….but that’s about it.
Who comes up with these ideas? Don’t give Catwoman her usual catsuit. Let’s give her ankle boots, leather pants with holes, a push-up bra, and leather gloves.
And that’s it….
Not exactly an outfit that fits a sneaky cat burglar. 🙁

Actress
Well, Halle Berry can act, that’s for sure! She did win an oscar.
For this one, she got the Razzie Award for bad acting, but that wasn’t her fault at all. She plays ok, the role and the script are just awful.
