This is really crazy! In a good way 🙂

Yeah, I know that it is not actually one person wearing all these faces, as it rather symbolizes his endless hunt to unmask his arch-nemesis.

You can interpret this scene in many ways… but I just like the artsy end-product.

Ok, the “main” unmasking (with the black Serpentik mask) is very disappointing as it happens off-screen and is completely ridiculous.

So he rolls around with her and slides off her mask with that knife in a second…without even hurting her at all?

Well, then he would be the ultimate knife-master of the universe 😆

I get it, perhaps they didn’t find a way for a smooth unmasking that would look really good with the tight leather mask.

Or maybe they went with the easiest solution to portray her unmasking… by just not showing it.

Anyway, I love how he ties her up, finally getting control of her.

The fingernail scene is quite violent, but it makes sense since he must get rid of that danger.

The first face mask unmasking is great as he slowly rips it at first.

I also love how his hand is inside the one face mask as he stretches it violently to pull it off.

The way she stops his final unmasking attempt is done really well.

Yeah, they do cheat quite a bit with some unmaskings, but yeah…. it should be very difficult to show that much better without a much bigger budget.

All in all, I LOVE the whole scene as it has so much “mask content” in it.

Certainly a scene I will re-watch over and over….again.

Yeah, the movie can be confusing… especially when you see only bits and parts of it 😉

That’s why you should see the whole thing.

But just some explanations:

The old guy at the beginning is the older version of the guy who sits at the table with her… not too hard to get.

He is thinking about past encounters with his arch-nemesis, Serpentik. The woman in the black leather catsuit.

He always tries to get her, tries to unmask her.

The film also suggests that he made up these scenes in his mind, that it was all just a movie (within the movie)?

But, that’s not clear….

I will make one more video from this great movie.

Needless to say, I LOVE her costume and mask!

Black leather catsuit and that mask… it doesn’t get much better than that… in my opinion.

These are the first appearances of Serpentik in the movie.

She is the arch-nemesis of the hero. He wants to get her, he wants to unmask her.

She hides behind her mask… and even the face behind the mask… is a mask!

He is obsessed with her… which I can totally understand! 😉

It’s a bit odd that she doesn’t wear her usual mask in the bar. The audience (and all of those in the bar) thinks that she is fighting unmasked… but we see that she is actually wearing a face mask.

And not only one!?! But we will come to that later….

This scene is the most violent scene the movie has to offer, and damn… she is really killing those goons right and left!

Her arsenal is quite something. Deadly heels, razor-sharp claws, and little hooks in her hair(!).

Kind of a very violent/over-the-top Catwoman.

I love the twist and the end as she is laughing while ripping off her mask. A very sexy scene!

And even that face is just one of many…

By the way: Her leather catsuit is ….well…. AWESOME!

I will make at least one more post about this already legendary movie!

Black Scorpion VS Aerobicide and her henchwomen [masked villainess]

This week I wanna present 2 scenes from a certain Black Scorpion episode.

In that episode, Black Scorpion has to fight a masked villainess called Aerobicide, a former aerobics instructor…

…. who is turned into an evil cyborg that loves to kill her victims by forcing them to overexercise…. (yeah…. really….)

Yeah, a classic “Black Scorpion gets knocked out by villain(ess) who then just leaves” scene for starters.

And actually… that is the second time that happens in that episode!

At the very beginning of the episode, she also gets knocked out by Aerobicide who then flees.

Nice touch though that the henchwomen actually wanna finish her off in this scene but Aerobicide decides against it.

Also really cool that Darcy and Aerobicde aka Suzy know each other. And Suzy wants to finish off Darcy as well….

It’s great that Black Scorpion then unmasks Suzy, even if the unmasking shot is way too short for my taste.

Really cool that here Black Scorpion unmasks a villainess, even though she knew already who Aerobicide really is.

Suzy didn’t find out about Black Scorpion’s secret identity though even though she fought both Darcy and Black Scorpion.

But ok… she is an “exercise machine” and not soooo clever.

Black Scorpion VS Aftershock (Heroine VS Villainess)

I already posted about a certain scene from this movie in the early days of the blog.

Now it’s time to post about another scene that I haven’t posted here for some reason.

But it’s certainly an interesting scene as well!

Black Scorpion faces the villainess Aftershock who wants to destroy a whole city with her earthquake machine!

That was certainly a more interesting self-unmasking as she unmasked herself in front of a villain(ess)!

Darcy knows the professor “Ursula Undershaft” and she knows that Ursula is the villainess Aftershock.

Which is not a surprise at all as her “mask” is very unusual and ridiculous. 😆

I mean it doesn’t hide all the decisive parts so it’s stylish, but also useless.

Black Scorpion takes a big risk by unmasking herself! But well, in the end, the plan somehow works out, even not as intended.

She certainly wanted to save Ursula, but that wasn’t an option anymore.

By the sacrificial death of Aftershock the reveal of her secret identity doesn’t have any effect on her superhero career.

Of course, I would have preferred that neither Black Scorpion nor Aftershock would have known each other’s secret identity …and that they have an unmasking battle… but you can’t have everything 😉

Black Scorpion TV show – The best scenes from the best episodes – [Episode 1]

Ok, I guess and hope that many of you already know the Black Scorpion TV show…. and since I didn’t cover the show with enough posts in the past…I wanna change that now.

The show is in my Hall of Fame and if you are into masked women, this TV show is an absolute MUST have!

A little extract from my post in the Hall of Fame (more info on the show can be found there):

I remember how I stumbled upon this show in the early 2000s.

This show was never shown here, but at some point, I read about the show and saw some pictures.

I immediately bought the DVD box set in the US and it took a while to get the Season box set to arrive here.

I also had to buy a DVD player that could handle region 1 DVDs. It was a pretty expensive endeavor, but damn, it was worth it BIG time! ?

I watched one episode every evening until I have seen all 22 episodes.

And that was a great thrill ride every night!

Ok, enough introduction….let’s start with one of the best episodes.

It’s Steve’s first encounter with Black Scorpion! This starts his obsession with catching the Black Scorpion. He was transferred to this police department to catch her…. and I envy him big time! What a fantastic job! He gets paid to chase after such a stunning masked vigilante…oh man!

The ending of the episode with Firearm is so awesome! I love how he blackmails her to unmask herself….such a great move, and he really enjoys it 😉

One of the rare villains who actually wants to know who is under the mask of a heroine. And her reaction to it is well done and played as well!

Plus it’s a great bonus that he recognizes Darcy…and again, I love how he is enjoying the whole situation.

A good move that she quickly puts the mask back in place as soon she gets the chance.

In the end, Firearm has to die….after all, he had seen her face, so it was the most logical choice from the writers to get him killed.

It was the first episode if a villain like him would found out about her secret identity and would be able to tell everyone…it would be a short TV show.

Damn, I would give for a Blu-ray box for this TV show!!! Or a (not so cheesy) remake with better action scenes… #dream

The Birds of Prey TV-show in Dreamwatch magazine

I’m a big fan of the Birds of Prey TV-show. Why? Well, not because the show itself, that was ok, but not really good.

It was 99% because of the batgirl episode they made. Dina Meyer in that costume….WOW! That was (is) something!

Until now it is my favorite hero-costume (in TV/cinema). It just looks awesome… Her mask isn’t bad but would have needed some improvements for my taste.

A chin strap and a little more mask material.

Now we have the new Batgirl movie coming up….I hope they will make a similar costume 🙂

A few months back I found that magazine cover and decided to get a copy of it. It wasn’t easy to get that issue but I found it in the UK.

This morning I thought that some of you would like to see the pictures and the text regarding Birds of Prey. So here they are! Enjoy!

[Hall of Fame] – Lady Shiva VS the Birds of Prey!

One scene was still missing to cover the legendary episode completely!

Lady Shiva unmasked Batgirl and discovered her secret identity.

Now she is after a friend of Batgirl…. and finds more resistance than she expects…

Damn, I love and hate this scene at the same time!

The fight choreo is again not so great, just ok.

I love that Lady Shiva gets into another fight in that sexy costume and that awesome mask!

But I hate, that she gives up like that and unmasks herself!

DAMN IT!

Would have been so awesome if Huntress had slowly damaged that mask more and more during their fights.

After some epic struggle, she would unmask Shiva by ripping her cowl completely 😉

While Shiva would desperately struggle to keep her identity a secret.

But ok… you can’t have everything.

The self-unmasking is still very sexy and interesting and shows that that cowl was secured properly…

Wow… just an awesome scene!

Two masked women fighting each other in such costumes… in such masks…. I LOVE it!

You can read more about my thoughts on the costumes in my other post when Lady Shiva has her revenge on Batgirl (in the Hall of Fame post, link below).

The fighting itself is ok, I’m pretty sure you could easily come up with a better fight choreo… but that’s just peanuts for me here.

The unmasking here is quite bizarre. I mean Lady Shiva’s cowl gets damaged by that from the explosion? But she is totally fine and just knocked out? 😆

On the other hand, I love her crippled mask…. looks good 🙂

If you check out the segment frame by frame where Batgirl gets blasted through the air… you can actually see that her cowl just falls off.

Barely seeable at normal speed, but another demonstration of how risky it is to wear such a mask without a chin strap or other safety measures.
