Creative competition: Combine Batgirl’s suit + Batwoman’s cowl….and get a free month/free monthS for the VIP club!

As some of you may know by now…the Batgirl suit from the movie “Batman and Robin” (and from the “Birds of Prey” TV show) is my all-time favorite female costume of all time.

Now the new Batwoman cowl from the TV show is my new all-time favorite cowl/mask!

So I wonder how it would look …if these two elements would be combined?

So, your task would be to move the masked head of Ruby Rose onto the costumed body (both versions) of Alicia Silverstone (or Dina Meyer) in a way it looks somehow natural.

You can use whatever pictures you can find, as long it has the right costume/mask and the correct actresses.

The competition will run until I declare the ending of it (but at least several days). Of course you can send more than one picture….but quality goes over quantitiy.

If I LIKE your result, you will get one free month for the VIP club. If I LOVE your result you will get 2 months for the VIP club.

I don’t expect perfection, it just has to be better than the horrible results I would produce if I would try.

Blackbird in action! [Black Lightning]

These days there isn’t a shortage of masked women in TV shows. I posted a lot about Batwoman, but other running shows have masked women too.

Last sunday I posted about Flash, today it is about Black Lightning. Next week it will be about Watchmen.

In Black Lightning we have now Blackbird! Finally a woman in this show that has a proper mask 🙂

I like that mask/hood combo! It hides her identity pretty well, and even her voice gets disguised with her mask.

Much better than the tiny eye masks of her father and sister in my opinion.

Now we need someone who is a little curious and wants to see more of her face. 😉

Batwoman gets a FULL season 1 with 22 episodes! [Batwoman-news]

Today it was offically confirmed that Batwoman gets a full season 1 with 22 episodes!

Well, I am sooo excited about it! I already poured a little celebration drink 🙂

There were rumors about it…..but rumors are …rumors.

I wonder how much of these 22 episodes are already written.

The Flash VS a villainess with a red half mask

Not only on the Batwoman show we have a masked woman, the other Arrowverse shows deliver too!

In the latest episode of the Flash, we have a villainess with superpowers and a stylish red half mask that covers her identity pretty well 🙂

Yes, I know your first question!

Who is she and what happens to her?

Well, unfortunately we don’t see her getting unmasked or even without that mask afterwards (that would be in the video for sure!).

Her character is only appearing before that scene and without a costume.

But even without the unmasking…I really enjoy watching a woman in such a costume and mask beating up those guys and then battling the Flash.

Masked Villainess in catsuit

It’s been a long time since I featured the video of another channel here, but today it is happening again!

In this highlight montage (over 20 minutes) are the highlights of one movie included.

The villainess Rama wears a quite sexy catsuit and an eye mask. And that is not the only mask you will find in this video 😉

Looks like a over the top, odd comedy with action scenes….

I’m not exactly a big fan of this “style” but…..it has some good scenes! Especially the unmasking with her “false” face was nice.

Batwoman news: Support the show! [+ links and a trailer]

A great site which I joined nearly one year ago to get news about the Elseworlds crossover.

They post news about the show, offer info on cast and characters and have a good forum, where you can find quite some threads by now. I do post there quite a lot.

Why is that important?

Well, because hordes of trolls pull the ratings down.

This show is a big, shiny light to all those moths and offers a lot for them to spill their hate over it.

In this case especially: the strong women, homosexuality and the slightest touch of feminism trigger them a LOT.

Why do I care about those ratings?

Simply because there a lot of folks who are not sure if they should watch the show. They see the numbers, that are heavily influenced by trolls and think: Oh, the show must be bad, I rather not watch it!

They often don’t get that the ratings are only that bad because of trolls. So far 2283 of 4202 users on IMDB voted “1 out of 10”, which is just …a ridiculous² rating for the show. And it shows the huge amount of trolls who inhabit in the internet.

What can you do about it?

Well,  vote/rate for the show on:

IMDB

and/or

RottenTomatoes

…and thereby SUPPORT the show! Every vote counts, so pass these links on to others as well!

I know these ratings aren’t the biggest factor which will decide about the fate of the show, but they do influence the viewer numbers in a bad way.

Damn, I thought I was already excited big time about the first episode, but it was “only” the introduction!

Now the show really takes off 🙂

Batwoman news, October 6th […the last hours until the pilot is released!]

The DAY has come!

 

…but for starters…a new video about Alice:

Well, looks like she lands a good hit on Batwoman 😉

I have the strong feeling that Alice will be a great villainess!

The day has come….. October 6th. The day I was waiting for since December last year.

Since I saw the Elseworlds crossover. I can only vaguely express how much anticipation I have build up until today.

But finally we are only hours away from the first episode of BATWOMAN.

I envy all who can watch the episode today on the CW, due to fact that I don’t live in the USA, I can’t do that.

But ok, I waited nearly 300 days…another 18 hours won’t be a big problem 😉

Let’s take a look at the other “hero” shows on the CW:

Arrow has 8 seasons (the final season will start on October 15)

The Flash will launch season 6 (October 8)

Supergirl will launch season 5 (today, right after Batwoman)

Legends of Tomorrow will launch season 4 (in January)

And Black Lightning will launch season 3 (October 7)

 

And Batwoman? I really HOPE that this show will be a success!

That it will be successful enough …to get several seasons like the other shows.

So far the CW didn’t cancel a single show from the Arrowverse as Arrow will “just” be ending because Stephen Amell would like to play other parts.

So far the only TV shows with a masked heroine in the leading role (Black Scorpion and Queen of Swords) had only 1 season.

BATWOMAN has to top that!

I know it’s getting tougher to get solid ratings as more and more shows fight for viewers. And streaming has changed the whole business.

BUT if BATWOMAN gets at least 3 or 4 seasons… I would be VERY happy. 🙂

Batwoman news, October 3rd [BIG news!]

After my last post on the Batwoman show there wasn’t much to report in the the days that followed.

That changed…a LOT… in the last hours.

–

1) Two days ago I already made a page for Batwoman – Season 1. You can find it above with the other pages.

There you will find my reviews (with ratings for “General” and “Mask action”) of the episodes together with pictures I took.

2) For starters.. a short “behind the scenes” video:

And NOW, a most interesting trailer with a LOT of NEW footage (surely from episodes 2, 3 and 4):

I watched it 4 or 5 times and I’m verrrry hyped. Pretty much like the day as the season order was announced!

Finally new footage of the show! And, of course, my favorite parts are the ones with Batwoman in her “normal” cowl with the red wig. Now people won’t confuse her with Batman anymore, even on a longer distance.

And I really love the dark atmosphere of the show -as some mentioned already- it looks like Arrow in the early seasons.

4) Casting news

It was finally revealed who will play Hush/Thomas Elliot (in episode 3) and Magpie (in episode 4):

It will be Gabriell Mann and Rachel Matthews. (Links to their IMDB pages)

5) A hint for possible “unmasking action” …of any kind….in episode 3.

As you can read in the TV Line article linked above:

…”And yet Tommy — who in DC Comics lore adopts the mantle Hush — harbors a deadly chip on his shoulder, one which will put Kate’s secret identity at risk.“

That sounds reallllly interesting! I wonder how this “deadly chip” can do that? And why is this chip on his shoulder? Endless possibilities.

I am looking forward HOW her secret identity is in danger! This will be fun 🙂
