Black Scorpion’s secret identity is in danger 3 times ….just in this episode

Today I wanna present 3 interesting scenes from just one episode!

Black Scorpion’s secret identity is often in danger in the TV show…. especially in this episode as Detective Steve and the villain are getting really close to finding out who is behind that mask!

And yeah… her secret identity gets actually compromised by the villain!

But let’s start with the first scene:

Black Scorpion enters and “cools off” Inferno, but he vanishes in the smoke.

Steve wakes up and thinks that Black Scorpion is still somewhere in the room… which is correct.

He jumps into the smoke to find Darcy who has quickly transformed… I am unsure if that was willingly or not.

I mean as Black Scorpion she normally has no problems at all to fight him off.

But as Darcy.. it is very risky, as it’s another clue for Steve that Darcy is Black Scorpion!

Also… I guess the mayor and his mistress haven’t seen Darcy enter the room at all… but they have seen Black Scorpion.

So…. normally all 3 might conclude who is under that mask… but well… they don’t.

In the second scene, Darcy has a date with Adam, which is quite spicy… as the heroine meets the villain here in their other personas, not knowing about the secret identities.

She nearly gets some strong hints that he is Inferno and while he is protecting his secret… he misses to see the temporarily exposed secret entrance to Darcy’s lair where all her Black Scorpion gear is.

So, both got lucky in that one!

I like such close encounters… very thrilling 🙂

In the final scene, Black Scorpion fights against Inferno and they both find out about their secret identities!

A reveal like in “Batman Returns“, only here they are in their costumes as it happens.

Yeah, I’m not a big fan of reveals like that… but he managed to find out who Black Scorpion is… even if it was by pure luck.

I do love such secret identity struggles like in this episode!

A masked villainess VS 2 masked female ninjas

Some time ago I read about this new show and the title already sounded promising.

Out of a hunch I investigated as I hoped to find a masked woman in this one… and I wasn’t disappointed 🙂

In this scene, two masked women meet….

Thought about making a longer video… but it’s a new show so I had to end it there to increase the chance it could be on YouTube.

I love the tension building buildup towards the unmaskings 🙂

Obviously, the good ninja was expecting someone else under the mask, it would certainly be interesting to know.

I haven’t seen the whole episode or season yet, maybe I will.

The reveal of the masked evil woman was done really well as she slowly unmasks and then you see her creepy smile after the reveal 🙂

I like that both quickly put their masks back on, makes a lot of sense, especially with the villainess as that heavy mask also protects her face.

A nice bonus to have a third masked woman as well… even the colors of her outfit are quite ….uncool to say at least.

That scene is the highlight of the season when it comes to masked women… as far as I know.

But perhaps I find a little more if I watch the whole thing instead of skipping through it.

A masked female Zorro – Scenes 2+3 – Zorro VS Zorro [Blog exclusive]

So, time for more (female) Zorro scenes….

This time the female Zorro faces the male Zorro!

Zorro VS Zorro

(now with English audio)

You can watch and also download the scenes there.

Yeah, her interpretation of being Zorro is rather …..unusual 😆

At this point in the story, she is more like a villainess than a heroine.

I really enjoy the scenes a lot where she is masked. It’s a good disguise (apart from the face paint she is also using without the mask) and besides her people and him, nobody knows who she is underneath that mask.

The secret identity is intact. But that might change in a future episode… 😉

The quick self-unmasking and re-masking here is also a nice treat in this one.

I will post more from this show in the upcoming weeks.

A masked female Zorro – Hostages at the bank – Scene 1 – [Blog exclusive][…..and no, it’s NOT the Queen of Swords]

I saw the poster for this TV show some weeks back and started watching it as it made me curious enough.

And damn… I found a gold mine 🙂

The main hero of a show is a guy who becomes Zorro… so far, so normal.

But… there is a woman who thinks that it’s her right/duty to become the next Zorro… instead of the guy.

And she has quite a lot of scenes in mask and costume 🙂

Female Zorro at the bank

You can watch and also download the scenes there.

The video was blocked on YouTube in many countries… so I couldn’t post it there … again 🙁

Well, this is only her first scene in mask and costume.

Luckily she has a lot of appearances and there are also some secret identity “issues” 🙂

Also, I like that … as she is often fighting against the male “all good” Zorro…. she is also a villainess.

In comparison to the Queen of Swords her outfit and mask are less sexy but her mask and hat are a much better disguise!

With that mask and hat, she covers her face really well and it fits to being a female version of Zorro.

Ok, the fact that she has that exact black face paint as Zorro and in her “normal” life is pretty…. stupid, but ok… I can ignore that.

I will post more scenes with her in the upcoming weeks.

Masked “Supergirl” from Indonesia … unconscious … and in danger of getting unmasked! Twice!

Time for another post with the masked “Supergirl” from Indonesia!

I wanted to post something else today… but that video got also blocked by YouTube.

To finally have a new video on the YouTube channel after 4 weeks I present two more scenes from this show.

Again, her secret identity is in danger as she is unconscious and a guy wants to take a look under that mask!

Here is the video:

One episode ends with a cliffhanger as he is reaching for her mask from her right side.

Oddly enough the next episode doesn’t start exactly there, but seemingly his unmasking attempt is interrupted by the doorbell!?

With the woman he enters the room again and goes for her mask… again… and this time the woman intervenes by protest.

I can only guess why she doesn’t want Supergirl to be unmasked… maybe she is a loyal fan and it’s about respecting her secret identity.

If I remember right …Supergirl’s secret identity and the guy are really close, perhaps he even suspected his girlfriend(?) to be Supergirl and finally wants to prove it.

Two nice “close-call” unmasking scenes that remind me of this one:

Knocked out and a hand is reaching for her mask!

Stargirl – Season 2, episode 12

Well, episode 12 is pretty much the “let’s get ready for the boss fight” episode.

SPOILERS ahead! Watch the episode first!

It’s all about re-building the team while including new allies like Cindy(wonder how that will work out) and the original Dr. Midnite.

It was another entertaining episode, but nothing much happens in terms of action.

It is also ANOTHER episode without Stargirl and Wildcat, even they do technically show up, but only in visions.

And ok, Yolanda does grab her cowl and holds it in her hands…but that doesn’t really count as a Wildcat scene.

Some pictures:

Now as 12 episodes of 13 have aired…I think it’s safe to say that the storyline could have been told in far fewer episodes.

Like 7 or 8 in total perhaps. But that would have been too short for a CW season, so the writers took the storyline and “inflated” it a little.

It’s safe to say that there should be plenty of screentime for Stargirl and Wildcat in the last episode, BUT all in all the amount of Stargirl in this season was just way too little.

From the 12 episodes that aired so far….1(!) had a big amount with them and Stargirl was seen the last time in episode 7.

I hope season 3 will have (much) more screentime with the masked heroines.

But now….I’m excited for the last episode of this season.

I hope the whole Eclipso storyline will end in that one.

Feel welcome to leave your comment!

Stargirl – Season 2, episode 1 – Review

Finally, season 2 of Stargirl has now started and I wanna make my short review of episode 1!

Preview:

The bad guys have been defeated at the end of season 1 and are either dead, in prison, or missing.

Much like this entire episode, things are rather quiet now in Blue Valley.

Stargirl, Wildcat, Hourman, and Dr. Midnite are still patrolling the streets at night but there is nothing to do at all and all (except Stargirl) wanna take a break from superhero life.

The episode focuses on building around the personal problem of each of them.

Courtney (Stargirl) is so focused on being Stargirl and finding other ISA members that she fails at school.

Yolanda (Wildcat) is haunted by the death of Brainwave who she killed in the season 1 finale. But she can’t speak to anyone (outside the JSA) about it as that would endanger her secret identity.

Beth (Dr. Midnite) finds out that her parents are seeking a divorce and is troubled by not being able to interact with Charles, the AI from her goggles.

Rick (Hourman) is occupied with providing food to Solomon Grundy who is living in the woods now.

Building these backstories to the characters is important and I liked them except the one with Rick as I don’t understand why he is now caring about the monster that killed his parents. Yeah, he saw a “good” site on Solomon in the season 1 finale…but it’s still hard to believe how he changed from wanting to kill him to now providing buckets of chicken for him.

I love how passionate Courtney is about being Stargirl. She fully embraces her role.

Maybe a little too much…. as her school and social life comes too short.

There is very little action in this one….but well, it’s a typical first episode to a season.

Green Lantern’s daughter Jade has her first appearance in the only real action scene. So far hard to tell, how big her role will be.

I hope she will be a good addition to the good side. Of course, I also hope that her costume will include a mask….but we will see.

So, in terms of action or peril, the episode delivers very, very little. But it was an important one for the storyline.

And this connects me to the characters and is very important for the “immersion” (in my opinion).

If I don’t care about the characters…it’s a massive minus for a movie or TV show.

This episode was a good start, but certainly not one of my favorites.

Hopefully, the action will start rolling in episode 2.

Speaking of it….here is the trailer:

The 2 really interesting scenes in a …not so….interesting show

I’m not a fan of this show, and it was already canceled by Cancelflix after just one season with 8 episodes.

Even the season had only 8 episodes you could have easily told the story in 3 or 4 episodes.

And the idea to explain the backstory of (most of) the heroes in back flashes throughout the whole season(!) was really bad in my opinion.

But let’s focus on the good parts! The show provided two interesting scenes after all.

Let’s start with the most interesting one!

…sorry, had to remove it…..you are too late…

Watch the video first before you continue!

Ok, the bad news is…..that was her only scene in this mask and costume in the entire show. What a wasted potential…. 🙁

The costume is pretty great! Also I love the mask, it disguises Raikou’s face well and the material is well chosen! Ok, the cowl could use a chin strap for security reasons…but ok, not a major flaw.

Would have been so great to have seen her in more scenes…especially if some bad guys would get curious to see the face under that mask! 😉

It’s great that some of the masked “henchfolks” are actually (masked!) henchWOmen! It’s a pretty cool trend that the bad guys nowadays employ female fighters as well for their evil deeds. 10-20 years ago you could barely find any henchWOmen at all. I like the masks that they are wearing, a nice bonus feature!

Overall a really good scene….a shame

This scene was in episode 7.

Yeah, I’m not a fan of those sci-fi costumes that can appear out of nowhere. I much prefer the “normal” version that you have to get on like normal clothes.

The fact that a villainess attacks bad guys who already are on a robbery…is pretty cool!

The fight isn’t that interesting, and her “costume” is rather lame…except for the boots. But the end is quite nice as her mask is just damaged enough that we can see one of her eyes.

And as you should know by now….I like to see damaged masks 😉 , a rare view!

Arachna: The Adventure begins! – A crowdfundung campaign on Indiegogo [Comic]

Today I wanna promote a crowdfunding campaign that started this week!

So, what is it about? Well, basically it’s about a new comic that features Arachna, a masked heroine:

“A superheroine with a split personality brings the fun, adventure, and sexy back to comics”

Check out the page on Indiegogo:

“Arachna: The Adventure begins!” on Indiegogo

I highly recommend watching the video first!

One page as an example of what you can expect:

(click to enlarge it to full size)

I already backed the campaign to get my copy of the comic.

The concept of the comic is just great in my opinion. The whole split personality sounds like a lot of fun.

And of course, she is very sexy in that costume! Her mask hides her identity well enough and as you can already see on the pictures on Indiegogo, she will get unmasked at one point 😉

Plus, as you also can see on the images…..we also have a masked villainess as a bonus!

Also, from what I have seen and read of the comic, this comic isn’t a “regular” mainstream comic.

The focus is on showing a very sexy adventure of an unusual heroine who seems to get into peril quite a lot ;-).

So, I am really looking forward to this one!

Some of the cover versions that you can get by backing this campaign (more on the Indiegogo page):

(click to enlarge it to full size)

As I am writing this post, the first goal of 5.000$ is practically already reached. I would say it’s only a matter of hours to get there.

But this is only the beginning! There are a lot of interesting stretch goals up to 50.000. (more info on the Indiegogo site).

If the campaign hits that final goal, all backers will receive a 15-20 minute action film with Arachna! And that would be really awesome! 🙂

On his Youtube channel, you can already see some short snippets of Arachna and her stunning costume!

An example of these promo videos:

The campaign will run for another 30 days, so I am very thrilled to see how it will develop!

I hope that Arachna gets a lot of supporters as this comic is something very special.

Batwoman TRAILER, Sneak Peak and MUCH more!

I guess that will be the longest post I ever made here on Maskripper, but…

…well, these are really exciting days….a lot of BIG news on the Batwoman TV show!

When will the show start?

1) It will run on Sundays at 8 PM on the CW, right before Supergirl (9 PM)

2) It will start sometime in Fall, the exact date will be announced in the future

The Trailer is here:

A “Sneak Peak” is there too:

And a general, short trailer for all the Arrowverse shows…with some seconds of Batwoman as well:

And now something to read as well…the Official Storyline:

BATWOMAN — Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) never planned to be Gotham’s new vigilante. Three years after Batman mysteriously disappeared, Gotham is a city in despair. Without the Caped Crusader, the Gotham City Police Department was overrun and outgunned by criminal gangs. Enter Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) and his military-grade Crows Private Security, which now protects the city with omnipresent firepower and militia. Years before, Jacob’s first wife and daughter were killed in the crossfire of Gotham crime. He sent his only surviving daughter, Kate Kane, away from Gotham for her safety. After a dishonorable discharge from military school and years of brutal survival training, Kate returns home when the Alice in Wonderland gang targets her father and his security firm, by kidnapping his best Crow officer Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy). Although remarried to wealthy socialite Catherine Hamilton-Kane (Elizabeth Anweis), who bankrolls the Crows, Jacob is still struggling with the family he lost, while keeping Kate –– the daughter he still has –– at a distance. But Kate is a woman who’s done asking for permission. In order to help her family and her city, she’ll have to become the one thing her father loathes –– a dark knight vigilante. With the help of her compassionate stepsister, Mary (Nicole Kang), and the crafty Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), the son of Wayne Enterprises’ tech guru Lucius Fox, Kate Kane continues the legacy of her missing cousin, Bruce Wayne, as Batwoman. Still holding a flame for her ex-girlfriend, Sophie, Kate uses everything in her power to combat the dark machinations of the psychotic Alice (Rachel Skarsten), who’s always somewhere slipping between sane and insane. Armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, Kate soars through the shadowed streets of Gotham as Batwoman. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, she must first overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope. Based on the characters from DC, BATWOMAN is from Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television with executive producers Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl”), Caroline Dries (“The Vampire Diaries,” “Smallville”), Geoff Johns (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Titans”) and Sarah Schechter (“Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl”). David Nutter (“Game of Thrones,” “The Flash,” “Arrow”) and Marcos Siega (“The Vampire Diaries,” “You”) executive produced the pilot.

My opinion on the trailer:

I was rather surprised we get a trailer that long at this time! 🙂

And that is “only” material from the pilot episode, which was the only one that was filmed so far.

I liked the rather dark tone of it, both in optics AND atmosphere. Very fitting, like Batman…Batwoman is a creature of the night with a rather troubled past.

We get introduced to the (so far) important characters, get a feeling for the story of the pilot and some good action scenes as well.

There is a lot of ….fuzz…over Kate’s two…well….”feminisitc(?)” lines, but I think they just wanna make a statement in the trailer. I don’t think she will drop such lines on a regular base in the Show later this year. I don’t have a problem with it, as long as it doesn’t get …too much.

And seeing this trailer…..it is something really….HUGE for me. As you may know by now, I really have a thing for masked women. 😉

She wears a great masks that really hides her identity, there are so MANY examples in other shows were the women have rather small masks that doesn’t hide enough to provide a good “secret identity cover” for the woman underneath the mask.

And to have a show with such a masked heroine in the LEAD role…..it is a dream coming true.

My biggest questions about the show so far:

1) When will the show start exactly? So that I can configure the timer on the right side 😉

2) Which characters will we get to see in that season? Villains/Villainesses? What other heroes/heroines? Gotham has A LOT to offer 🙂

3) Is Alice the main villainess?

4) Who will figure out who is under Batwoman’s mask? And When?

In the trailer…”only” Luke Fox seems to be “in the know”, as he is responsible for her suit and gadgets. In the comics her father knows it from the start (as he train her), but it’s not sure the TV show will do it like the comics.

5) How many unmaskings will be shown? And what types of unmaskings? (Self, forced, unconscious, bound, fight …-unmaskings?)

6) Her masks (in the trailer we saw 2 versions): From what material are they made of? What are the exact differences between the both types we saw so far?

7) What is the main storyline? (after the pilot)

8) How much screentime will Batwoman actually get in the episodes?

Valentine – female superheroine movie from Indonesia

Discovered this movie a while back, and it’s time that I present it here to you folks.

It’s about a young woman who starts to fight crime. And there seems to be a lot of villains who have problems with that 😉

Preview:

And here is the trailer:

And here is a “behind the scenes” -video:

Well, in the first scene it looks like some sort of comedy…but luckily there is enough action in it later on. So I have hope for a decent superheroine movie.

And since we only have very few movies with a masked heroine…I am really looking forward to this one!

Ok, she just has an eye mask. But that’s ok…can’t be very picky with that awful small selection on movies with masked heroines 😉

IMDB says that it came out in Indonesia on november 23rd in 2017. And that’s all the information there is…no info if or when the movie will be available elsewhere.

Does anyone has more info? Or does know where to find that movie? That would be really great!
