Well, saw the last two episodes of the crossover today, but I will write about it on friday I guess.
Today I wanna show you this brilliant trailer for episode 10 of Batwoman (January 19):

WELL……not only we have a masked, female vampire….named Nocturna, who was in the comics as this epic scene happened:

….but we also (seemingly) get a forced (attempted?) UNMASKING!
“Take OFF the MASK, Batty/Baddy!” (short for Batwoman)
Seems like Alice wanna take a nice video of Batwoman unmasking herself!
She does already know that her sister Kate is under that cowl …..but I guess she wants to have some real proof to blackmail her 😉
And if you take a close look at some of the frames in the trailer……Batwoman has actually two kinds of masks!
….no chin strap! And is that her/a cowl in the foreground?
Why does this other mask exist? Does they change her cowl? IF yes, why? This mask would actually be less secure!
Or is that a backup mask? Verrrry interesting stuff….

^ The normal cowl with chin strap. And what kind of device is that? Has is something to do with Luke’s work on Batwoman’s secret (see synopsis below)?
Would make sense that Luke would come up with a technical solution. But how does it work?

AFTERMATH – While Gotham busies itself reacting to Batwoman’s (Ruby Rose) awkward encounter, Alice (Rachel Skarsten) celebrates her ultimate act of vengeance with Mouse (guest star Sam Littlefield). A devastated Mary (Nicole Kang) focuses on Jacob Kane’s (Dougray Scott) trial, while Sophie (Meagan Tandy) seeks advice about her love life from someone unexpected. As they tackle the newest threat to Gotham, Luke (Camrus Johnson) prioritizes protecting Batwoman’s secret, and Kate must decide what she is willing to do to honor Batwoman’s identity…and her own. Oh man, good that the episode is only some days away. This trailer offers some many interesting questions!
And a real unmasking scene for sure! No matter if Alice succeeds with her plan or not….

Never has a trailer with just more than 20 seconds (of real running time) me excited so MUCH!

After watching the episode, it is clear that the description of the trailer was wrong.
The trailer shows scenes from various episodes….I guess from the next 3 episodes!
I don’t like being fooled like that…… 🙁

I already celebrated with a good whisky!
Kind of a surprise for me that ALL CW superhero shows got renewed. Even Legends of Tomorrow was renewed for season 6….before their season 5 even started!
You can like the CW or not, but it is really a good partner for these superhero shows, not ONE…not ONE of these superhero shows… got cancelled ….ever!!!!
(Arrow only ended because of Stephen Amell had enough after 8 seasons)

And this means…….Batwoman is actually the FIRST TV show with a masked female lead….that made it to a SECOND season!
The show suceeded where shows like Queen of Swords and Black Scorpion has failed.

Today there is not much to report about the show itself…but I wanna present my ideas about my weekly reviews of the show.
A new teaser popped up:
A funny little snippet.
The most interesting aspect is a view of possible gadgets for Batwoman:

Of course these are the gadgets that were used by Batman as he still was watching over Gotham.
I’m sure that Luke will redesign some of them for Batwoman and perhaps invent some new stuff as well.
And I’m pretty sure they will be recolored as well. Black and red colors would fit much better …and be less visible in the night. 😉

As Batwoman will start in 18 days, I already made some preparations.
Due to the time difference I won’t be able to watch it on sundays, it would be 2AM on monday here…
I will watch the show on monday evenings (would be around 2PM on US east cost).
Then a rewatch with the episode from last week… and then the new one.
After that I will work on “Batwoman-cut” of the episode.
And then I it’s time to write my review of the episode, which will be posted on mondays.
I am planning two categories:
1) General rating (story, action etc.)
Including a spoiler section that will be hidden (unless you wanna read it)
…and a more specific category that fits perfectly for this Blog:
2) “Mask action”
with these categories:
Batwoman screen time,
attempted unmaskings, forced unmaskings, self unmaskings,
mask damage,
“mask talk” (incl. “secret indentity talk”)
and perhaps others like: “Who knows her secret identity by now?” and more

After each review I will reveal my rating. With up to 5 bats for the general rating and up to 5 “Batwoman-heads” for the “Mask action” category.

There was a new teaser for the show:
I like this teaser too, really like this dark atmosphere. But it’s about time that they make a teaser with …BATWOMAN!
They made 7 or 8 of these promo teasers (with scenes that aren’t in the show)….and not one had Batwoman in it.

TigerStone FX has finished his work on a Ruby Rose Batwoman cowl.
It looks great and pretty close to the one she had in the Elseworlds Crossover.

Interesting picture!
Mary Hamilton is Kate’s step-sister (in the TV show) and takes care of Kate in this picture.
The big question that pops up in my mind: Does she know about Batwoman? Does she know that Kate in under that mask?
Or does Kate come up with some weird excuses why she has these wounds/bruises?
I hope that Batwoman doesn’t share her secret with too many folks.
Luke Fox does know it for sure, her father knows it in the comics. Supergirl/Kara will find out in the Elseworlds Crossover (which takes place between episodes 3 and 4 of Season 1 of Batwoman).
Mary, Alice and Sophie are my next possible candidates 😉

[1st post for today]
Time for a little extra Batwoman post! Why today?
Well, it’s September 1st…which means…..as from today, you can say that….Batwoman will hit the screen NEXT month!
And that’s quite something for me, as I am waiting for this Show until last December …and then with even more anticipation from May as the Show was actually confirmed!
It has been a long waiting time. But luckily, it is coming to an end!

About the picture:
Well, it is clear to say that Batwoman (Ruby Rose) seems to protects a child, while she has a Batarang ready for the bad guy(s)!
She now is wearing to “normal/standard” Batwoman suit, and not the only slightly modified Batman suit from the pilot (and episodes 2 and 3(?)) anymore.

The San Diego Comic Con starts officially tomorrow and I wanted to present all the promo stuff to you, that I saw in the last days.
I already bought my issue of the Comic Con special from the TV guide, of course the one with the Batwoman cover 😉 , it is on its way and should arrive next week.
