I love such “secret identity in danger” scenarios where a masked heroine gets under pressure to protect her secret identity from getting destroyed!
She is under big-time pressure to quickly change into her “normal” persona Tessa so that her nosy friend doesn’t find out that she is actually the Queen of Swords.
And the very nice “bonus” where she almost walks out with her night robe still wearing her mask… is great!
Imagine Vera’s face if she would have seen Tessa with that mask on… 😆
That would have been quite embarrassing…
So, we get a nice self-unmasking which is quite rare in this TV show… I guess there is only one more in it.
All in all a thrilling scene for me, and also a bit funny as well.
I already had the French DVD set of Queen of Swords in my collection (with English audio on it as well).
But when they released a German DVD set as well last year… I just had to have it too.
These days I am rewatching the complete show with its 22 episodes and was reminded that my posts about the highlights of the show here… are incomplete.
That has to change!

Yeah, well… the fact that she is an imposter isn’t a secret for one second as she does look different, and even the mask is a bit different… at least to a regular follower of the show.
It’s nice that he starts the unmasking with “…and now for the unveiling…”, but it’s a shame she doesn’t resist or say anything.
Also, it’s quite odd that he unbinds her mask like that instead of yanking it off her head (slowly), so the camera isn’t on her face the whole time.
Certainly, this is a big moment for the two men, who then still think that they just captured the real Queen of Swords.
But Montoya realizes rather quickly that she isn’t the real one.
I will post one or more scenes from the episodes as it has a lot to offer 🙂

This TV show is in my Hall of Fame and is certainly one of my favorites 🙂
Here we have an episode where Tessa finds out that there is a man who actually knows who killed her father.
Of course, she wants to know and actually saves this guy (as Queen of Swords) from the evil duo the Colonel and the Captain.
But then something really bad is happening….

In the past, I often mentioned how careless some masked heroines are when it comes to self-unmaskings in (more or less) public places.
For example, Batwoman unmasked herself on rooftops and alleys at night in the TV show. There was always the danger that someone might show up or would watch it from the distance.
I’m not a big fan of such careless behavior… as I don’t want anyone to uncover a secret identity out like that.
The Queen of Swords was more careful in general and here she thought it would be safe to unmask herself in her own home which is placed quite remote.
But, unlucky for her… the scumbag was peeping through her windows and saw how the Queen of Swords unmasked herself and he recognized the face of Tessa.
And that is such an enormous problem for any heroine with a secret identity… especially if it’s a bad guy.
With his knowledge, he approaches her when she is the most vulnerable. Tessa is alone, without weapons, and without her costume.
Her dress is also making it more difficult for her as it slows her down.
Quite unusual that the show really gets that dark and that they have a bad guy who actually wants to rape the heroine/her civilian self!
That never was a topic in shows like Black Scorpion, Batwoman, etc.
And here she really gets into a big dilemma, as she wants to know from him who killed her father, but also has to defend herself and take care of the fact that he knows her biggest secret!
The outcome is the only possible outcome for me. He knows her secret identity, he tried to rape her… she has to kill him, even if that means that she won’t find out who killed her father… at least at this point.
These scenes perfectly demonstrate the danger of losing a secret identity… and therefore I need to post about it.

These scenes are from episode 8 of Queen of Swords.
As my Maskripper Org Youtube channel has reached 5000 subscribers last week, I uploaded a trailer today for the channel and this blog as well!
I didn’t include any scenes from the comics or fetish videos…..but still, I came up with quite some scenes I wanted to have in the trailer.
In the end, I included 83 scenes from the movies and TV shows. As the scenes average a little over 3 seconds…the trailer reached nearly 5 minutes in total. A little longer than I initially wanted it to be.
I did cut some scenes a little shorter, but I didn’t want to delete whole scenes out of it.
All of these scenes can be found on this blog….with some digging as the blog is around 8 years old by now…… many of them in the Hall of Fame.
I took a song with the PERFECT lyrics that I found a while ago and edited it down to a length that would fit twice in the trailer.

In my opinion these three are the most important TV-shows when it comes to women in masks. All from my “Hall of Fame” on this blog.
The problem is, none of these seems to be available in HD.
In germany, only Birds of Prey is available on DVD! Black Scorpion (the TV show) and I think Queen of swords too were never even shown on TV here…
I bought Black Scorpion from amazon.com and Queen of Swords from amazon.fr. And you can find…other sources to these shows more or less easy, but all at best in DVD quality.
Many many “old” movies and TV shows are available on HD now. They were shown on HD TV, so folks were able to Record/rip it, or Blu-Rays were released.
Does anyone know a source where to get any of these shows in HD quality (720p or better)?
From time to time I check the different amazon sites and other ….sources, but nothing so far.
I would love to see them in a picture quality these shows deserve!

Hey guys, I uploaded for you the 3 unmasking-attempts of Captain Grisham. As you know now, he failed. In an earlier episode the Queen Of Swords met an old love. He is paid to unmask the Queen of Swords and bring her to justice. And he has the chance in a duel….

…and he takes it. He UNMASKS her! I love the look on her face as the mask goes down and his surprise to see the well-known (loved) face behind it…. Great scene!
Ok, after two unmasking attempts, captain Grisham has one final opportunity. With the lack of oxygen, the queen of swords is blacking out! Will he take advantage of the situation and unmask her while she is unconscious?
Oh man, he is a moron…without luck. 😉

The evil Captain Grisham trapped the Queen of Swords in a mine. She can’t escape and he wants to unmask her once and for all. This is the second scene in the mine. Will he succeed this time?
