Ladycat and Robyn in “Bye Bye Birdy” [Lucia Films]

Today I wanna present a great “SHIP” video from Lucia Films. For those who haven’t heard the term, SHIP stands for “SuperHeroineInPeril”.

In this video we not only have a masked “Ladycat” (aka Catwoman), we do have a masked Robyn (female Robin) as well!

I watched the really good “Toxicity” video from Lucia Films some weeks ago and now I stumbled upon pictures from this new video and was immediately highly interested!

If you follow this Blog for a while you might/should know that I often have issues with a lot of these videos. Mostly I complain about the costumes that often look like they were bought from a supermarket which was selling them for Halloween for a few bucks.

Here we have a Ladycat that really has a fantastic costume! The cowl looks like real quality from a professional store. With the purple costume and the black gloves and overknee boots she looks like right out of the Catwoman comics from Jim Balent. This is actually on of the very Catwoman costumes I have ever seen in such a video!

And in addition we have a sexy, young Robyn on a mission to catch her! But Ladycat has some naughty plans for the brave crime fighter 😉

Official storyline:

When Robyn (Xiphos), the plucky sidekick of the famed hero Bats gets an alert to a museum break-in, she considers it a routine bit of crime fighting. Unfortunately for her, Ladycat (Mckenzie) is on the prowl and she quickly falls into a well planned trap to separate her from her caped crusader.
At the mercy of the feline themed deviant, Robyn is subjected to a slow, humiliating series of psychological and sexual tortures meant to break down her ability to resist. Will Robyn be able to hold onto her sanity and dignity?

Some more remarks on the video:

Both actresses are doing a really good job in the video.  Catwoman is one of my favorites, and I love her costume in this video. It’s great to see how she is playing with Robyn and really enjoys that!

The secret identity aspects are really well done in this video. I won’t spoil it here, but Ladycat has some evil and naughty plans in store for the young crimefighter! The price of the video is totally worth it as you get 75 minutes of running time! And that’s 75 minutes of quality running time! I would like to write more about certain scenes, but….. again….I don’t wanna spoil it.

So, check it out….. I am glad I did!

Stunning trailer for Episode 10 of Batwoman!

Well, saw the last two episodes of the crossover today, but I will write about it on friday I guess.
Today I wanna show you this brilliant trailer for episode 10 of Batwoman (January 19):

[WATCH the TRAILER FIRST!]
WELL……not only we have a masked, female vampire….named Nocturna, who was in the comics as this epic scene happened:

https://maskripper.org/masks-off-24-batwoman-attacked-and-unmasked

….but we also (seemingly) get a forced (attempted?) UNMASKING!
“Take OFF the MASK, Batty/Baddy!” (short for Batwoman)
Seems like Alice wanna take a nice video of Batwoman unmasking herself!

She does already know that her sister Kate is under that cowl …..but I guess she wants to have some real proof to blackmail her 😉

And if you take a close look at some of the frames in the trailer……Batwoman has actually two kinds of masks!

….no chin strap! And is that her/a cowl in the foreground?
Why does this other mask exist? Does they change her cowl? IF yes, why? This mask would actually be less secure!
Or is that a backup mask? Verrrry interesting stuff….

^ The normal cowl with chin strap. And what kind of device is that? Has is something to do with Luke’s work on Batwoman’s secret (see synopsis below)?
Would make sense that Luke would come up with a technical solution. But how does it work?

The official Synopsis:
AFTERMATH – While Gotham busies itself reacting to Batwoman’s (Ruby Rose) awkward encounter, Alice (Rachel Skarsten) celebrates her ultimate act of vengeance with Mouse (guest star Sam Littlefield).  A devastated Mary (Nicole Kang) focuses on Jacob Kane’s (Dougray Scott) trial, while Sophie (Meagan Tandy) seeks advice about her love life from someone unexpected.  As they tackle the newest threat to Gotham, Luke (Camrus Johnson) prioritizes protecting Batwoman’s secret, and Kate must decide what she is willing to do to honor Batwoman’s identity…and her own.  Jeff Hunt directed the episode written by Caroline Dries (#110). Original airdate 1/19/2020.

Oh man, good that the episode is only some days away. This trailer offers some many interesting questions!
And a real unmasking scene for sure! No matter if Alice succeeds with her plan or not….

Never has a trailer with just more than 20 seconds (of real running time) me excited so MUCH!

*EDIT*:

After watching the episode, it is clear that the description of the trailer was wrong.

The trailer shows scenes from various episodes….I guess from the next 3 episodes!

I don’t like being fooled like that…… 🙁

Teen Bat 5 – “New Kid In Town”

Here is another great video from Bluestone. We get a new Teen Bat with a new, sexy outfit and a cowl.

In my opinion certainly a fine upgrade since the last Teen Bats all had eye masks.

The Story line for this one:

“A new Teen Bat takes on a revived Contractor, but will her substantial skills be sufficient to put him down?”

Well, if you have seen some of the videos from Bluestone…. you might know the answer to that question 😉

I like the new costume! A body with a sexy pantyhose and black leather boots is a FINE outfit for a heroine.

And the new Batgirl-type cowl is another improvement for me.

I envy the villain who had the chance to fight with her. Seems like a real perk that comes with his job 😉

Creative competition: Combine Batgirl’s suit + Batwoman’s cowl….and get a free month/free monthS for the VIP club!

As some of you may know by now…the Batgirl suit from the movie “Batman and Robin” (and from the “Birds of Prey” TV show) is my all-time favorite female costume of all time.

Now the new Batwoman cowl from the TV show is my new all-time favorite cowl/mask!

So I wonder how it would look …if these two elements would be combined?

(only EXAMPLES – click to enlarge)

So, your task would be to move the masked head of Ruby Rose onto the costumed body (both versions) of Alicia Silverstone (or Dina Meyer) in a way it looks somehow natural.

You can use whatever pictures you can find, as long it has the right costume/mask and the correct actresses.

The competition will run until I declare the ending of it (but at least several days). Of course you can send more than one picture….but quality goes over quantitiy.

If I LIKE your result, you will get one free month for the VIP club. If I LOVE your result you will get 2 months for the VIP club.

I don’t expect perfection, it just has to be better than the horrible results I would produce if I would try.

Use the contact form below to get in touch with me:

Looking forward to the results!

Batwoman news, October 3rd [BIG news!]

After my last post on the Batwoman show there wasn’t much to report in the the days that followed.

That changed…a LOT… in the last hours.

1) Two days ago I already made a page for Batwoman – Season 1. You can find it above with the other pages.

There you will find my reviews (with ratings for “General” and “Mask action”) of the episodes together with pictures I took.

2) For starters.. a short “behind the scenes” video:

And NOW, a most interesting trailer with a LOT of NEW footage (surely from episodes 2, 3 and 4):

I watched it 4 or 5 times and I’m verrrry hyped. Pretty much like the day as the season order was announced!

Finally new footage of the show! And, of course, my favorite parts are the ones with Batwoman in her “normal” cowl with the red wig. Now people won’t confuse her with Batman anymore, even on a longer distance.

And I really love the dark atmosphere of the show -as some mentioned already- it looks like Arrow in the early seasons.

3) Selected pictures from the trailer (watch it first!):

(click on the image to enlarge it to full size)

4) Casting news

It was finally revealed who will play Hush/Thomas Elliot (in episode 3) and Magpie (in episode 4):

It will be Gabriell Mann and Rachel Matthews. (Links to their IMDB pages)

You can find pictures of them in their roles on this “TV Line” article (won’t use these exclusive pictures here):

TV Line

5) A hint for possible “unmasking action” …of any kind….in episode 3.

As you can read in the TV Line article linked above:

…”And yet Tommy — who in DC Comics lore adopts the mantle Hush — harbors a deadly chip on his shoulder, one which will put Kate’s secret identity at risk.

That sounds reallllly interesting! I wonder how this “deadly chip” can do that? And why is this chip on his shoulder? Endless possibilities.

I am looking forward HOW her secret identity is in danger! This will be fun 🙂

6) A few selected new images:

Well, that should be it for now.

Batwoman starts in … 3 DAYS!!!

Masks off! #39 – Catwoman with severe “Mask damage” …and more missed opportunities

[2nd post for today]

Time for another issue of “Masks off!”  !

This time it’s about Catwoman.

In the issue from this week, Catwoman ends up in a room with two grenades! (early in the comic)

She survives, but the explosion badly rips her mask, and so she runs around with it for the rest of the issue 😉

I wanna show 3 scenes with 8 pages. There are more, of course, but I won’t show the complete comic here.

(use the arrow to navigate and click on the image to enlarge it)

You may know by now that I love damaged masks, so the comic starts really good!

But again, it’s a shame that no one uses this opportunity for an easy unmasking.

In the 2nd scene, where she fights against the woman, that woman has her hand on her mask once, and then she even grabs the hair that is exposed by the mask damage.

But….again, the villain doesn’t unmask the heroine (I would count Catwoman into that category, 51% heroine/ 49% villainess)!

Really frustrating…. well, perhaps next time.

This is the comic with more interesting pages:

Catwoman 015

What do you think of this scene?

Feel welcome to leave a comment!

Batwoman news, September 15th

[1st post for today]

Just a quick update after the last post from 3 days ago.

A Very, very short one…but I love the pace and music!
Don’t watch this one if you have epilepsy 😉

And it even has some new …frames… of Batwoman:
