Skilled assassin VS Blackbird and Grace [Black Lightning]

Black Lightning has only a few episodes left in its final season, but it still delivers good scenes with masked women!

And this one is so far the best of the season. We have a nice fight scene with a skilled assassin that fights Blackbird and Grace, who both have really good masks…in my opinion.

Earlier in the episode, the assassin tortured a guy so he would give up the secret identity of Blackbird, but he didn’t as he just didn’t know who she is.

She actually keeps her secret identity really well…..secret 🙂

But the assassin manages to find Blackbird and Grace….

And here is the scene:

Watch the video first before you continue!

As I said before I really like these masks! They cover their faces effectively but still show the eyes and parts of the upper face. These “half masks” are a good compromise between these tiny eye masks (example: Black Cat) and full-face masks (example: Spider-Gwen) for me.

The fight with him is pretty long and I was quite thrilled as I watched it as I always hoped he would manage to unmask one of them or both. Damn, how great it would be if at least his hand would have yanked on one of the masks in an attempt to yank them off.

But still, this is quite a highlight for me as you won’t find many scenes like that! Not one but two really well masked women in a long fight with a skilled attacker….rare stuff!

He is still out there to hunt down Blackbird…so I hope for more action scenes with him and other masked women in the next weeks. 😉

That is the episode with this fight scene:

3 masked heroines in Black Lightning (Grace, Lightning, Blackbird)

I was watching the latest Black Lightning episode and wasn’t really thrilled about it as there wasn’t much action in it and not anyone in costume in the whole episode.

But then, right before the end…. a really cool scene developed!

And here is the video:

Yeah, it’s only a rather short action scene and there is “mask action”….but to have 3 masked women in one picture is already a great feature! 🙂

I really like Blackbird’s mask as it is designed very well for me and also disguises her identity really well in combination with that hood.

Would love to see someone yanking that mask off her face at one point!

I never was thrilled about Thunder’s mask as it is only an eye mask that practically covers nothing. And it also didn’t help that the character has now this short haircut.

Grace looks really good with that leather mask that she debuted in this episode. I hope that she will have more appearances alongside Blackbird in this final season!

And of course, you can find more scenes with masked heroines in practically every episode of Black Lightning, starting in season 2.

I posted “just” the highlights on this blog so far.

Today the CW released the starting date for season 2!

That’s 80 days to go!

And it’s actually the first Arrowverse/CWverse show that’s coming back!

Black Lightning will return on February 8.

The Flash will return on February 23.

Superman & Lois will premier on February 23 right after the Flash.

*EDIT*

Here a newly released graphic with all the start dates:

(the Batwoman picture is NEW!)

Glad that Batwoman is the first show (of the Arrowverse/CWverse) that will be shown next year! I do like Black Lightning and the Flash as well, but I can definately wait some weeks longer for them.

Don’t know what to think about the Superman & Lois show yet. I will give it a try, but so far I’m not thrilled to see it.

January 17….you can’t come soon enough! 😉

*EDIT2*

A short but great video from set shows Javicia in the new costume:

Wow, a really good, pure view on the costume! Even the cowl is missing…

She looks GREAT in the costume! 🙂

DC Fandome – August 22/23 + September 12/13

[Post 2 of 2 for today!]

The DC Fandome is on the next weekend (August 22 and 23), time to make another post about it!

*EDIT* News came in yesterday that most of the TV shows and everything besides the movie panels are moved to a second date: September 12th!

What is the DC Fandome?

2… 24 hours virtual cons, entry free, watchable across the globe with lots of panels on upcoming DC shows and movies….and much more…

Here you can fix your own schedule so you know when to watch something you are interested in:
https://schedule.dcfandome.com/

Regular website:
https://dcfandome.com/

Of course the Batwoman panel in the Watchverse is THE main attraction for me, no doubt!
It will have 40 minutes and the cast will discuss season 1 and give a sneak peek into season 2. I also expect that we see promo material of Javicia in the costume for the first time!

Besides that I am thrilled about the Wonder Woman 1984 panel and the “The Batman” panel (hope to finally see the Catwoman costume)!
And of course the other Arrowverse shows will have interesting panels as well!
I am hoping for some juicy trailers, interesting talks and great promo material!

I already made a schedule for the event…..well, I am sure I won’t get much sleep in these 24 hours….

Which panels do you wanna watch?

Time to present all the news of the last days on the biggest TV crossover event ever!

These are the dates and shows involved in the crossover:

Supergirl, Dec 8
Batwoman, Dec 9
The Flash, Dec 10
…..nail-biting, 5 weeks cliffhanger!…..
Arrow, Jan 14
Legends of Tomorrow, Jan 14

Here is the teaser:

Never have seen a title screen so often like in this one….. but I like all the teasing in these snippets!
Bring it on!
I’m looking forward in great anticipation to this one! Especially for Batwoman and all the big changes it brings to the Arrowverse.
There will be casualties, I am sure not “only” the one we all know of.

Here is the poster:

Seems like Batwoman got the best spot! 🙂

But weird that they used that old promo picture of her….she doesn’t even have that cowl anymore.

She has a new cowl since episode 3, the one from this poster was only seen in the last years crossover (and some promos).

And here is the synopsis for the first three episodes (with some spoilers):

And also see official promo pictures of episodes 1-3 of the crossover:

Well, last years crossover was already big, but THIS one takes it to a whole new level!

So thrilled to see what will happen to the Arrowverse!

Blackbird in action! [Black Lightning]

These days there isn’t a shortage of masked women in TV shows. I posted a lot about Batwoman, but other running shows have masked women too.

Last sunday I posted about Flash, today it is about Black Lightning. Next week it will be about Watchmen.

In Black Lightning we have now Blackbird! Finally a woman in this show that has a proper mask 🙂

And here is the video:

I like that mask/hood combo! It hides her identity pretty well, and even her voice gets disguised with her mask.

Much better than the tiny eye masks of her father and sister in my opinion.

Now we need someone who is a little curious and wants to see more of her face. 😉

Here is the episode in which you can find these scenes:
