Stargirl – Season 1, episode 13 – Stargirl and Wildcat in the final battle (of the season)

So, this will be my last Stargirl post about an episode in 2020.

A little late this time, but there wasn’t much interest in it so far (on my youtube channel and Blog) so I guess it’s no so bad.

So, let’s start with some pictures of the final episode of season 1!

That was a good finale for the season in my opinion.

Will be interesting to see which ISA members are really dead besides Brainwave.

No clue what happened to tigress. Sportsmaster may still be alive as well.

Dragon King have cheated death before, but I do think he is dead after all.

Icicle….well, he was crashed to bits…but maybe he can melt the single parts and put himself together like the the T-1000, even I doubt it.

Cindy is still there, Solomon Grundy and the Gambler too. Plus two new bad guys that are shown or mentioned. Need to do some background work on them.

I’m glad that Wildcat killed Brainwave, that was the right move, he deserved it big time.

I’m not happy that there are still some folks who know who Stargirl is, her secret identity isn’t really secret. Somehow I have the feeling that there will be always bad guys who know her secret

which makes her mask more decorative then concealing.

Also that there was no unmasking action at all in the whole season. Not even a self unmasking or unmasking attempt.

I had feared it would be like that since Brainwave found out that Courtney could use the staff and its powers in episode 1. Luckily he was silenced for a while but no one from the JSA took an effort to go for her mask in any situation.

Don’t get me wrong I relly enjoyed the whole season and the finale too as it delivered a lot of intense action and a lot of screentime for the masked heroines.

So far the public didn’t really took notice of the whole ISA and JSA, they fight their battle in the shadows pretty much. I wonder how that will develop in the future.

Blue Valley is such a picture perfect community with seemingly no crime to fight at all…. pretty much the exact opposite to Gotham.

So, I don’t think the JSA will really have to fight common criminals in season 2. Ok, it would be an unfair fight with their super powers, but Supergirl does it all the time, even you can’t compare the situation.

The end of the episode was a little too much….Stargirl and Stripe sitting on that surprisingly strong tower, the american flag was waving in the wind…..

Will be interesting too see how Starman will fit into the team in season 2. Will more heroes join the JSA?

What plans and members the new ISA will have? Who will be in it?

I do hope that there will be some unmasking action or secret identity struggle in season 2. That would be really great!

Also, how many episode will season 2 have? This one had 13, but now the show has moved to the CW, it may get more in season 2. Hard to say as it isn’t even clear when the second season will start.

P.S.:

Am I the only one who thought the big satelitte dishes and the gigantic undergorund base was worthy of a 60’s/70’s Bond villain?

Reminded me of it….especially as Gambler also had a cat as he was working on his evil plan 😆

Batwoman, season 1 on Blu-ray/DVD

Since the release of the Blu-ray/DVD sets in the USA (August 18) and the UK (August 17) is only some days away….I dedcided to make some promotion! 😉

I pre-ordered the UK Blu-ray set and I am looking forward to watch the whole season once again!

I am curious about the bonus material on those discs, espceially the deleted scenes from the episodes are verrrry interesting for me!

I watched the video and really enjoyed it!

The new actress does a good job and plays the heroine much better in comparison to most fetish productions.

She looks quite stunning in her costume with the boots, pantyhose and the rather big cleavage!

I’m not the biggest fan of her eye mask, but at least it’s one of the bigger versions that actually hide a little more of her face than the usual alibi eye masks.

As you can see on the images she gets unmasked. But, I was surprised how that in this video there is actually quite a struggle as he starts to yank on her mask.

Mostly the mask comes off easily as the producers often don’t really care about the unmasking (sadly).

In this one she actually struggles and tries to keep her mask on to preserve her precious secret identity! And this struggle is quite long! 🙂

I love that scene as it shows that she actually cares about her mask. An aspect that many other videos of this genre don’t have.

Stargirl – Season 1, episode 12 – Stargirl and Wildcat getting ready for the final battle (of the season)

After the interesting, but actionless last episode we get a good episode with some action and a nice build-up for the final episode of the season.

It is the official first part to the two parted finale. It would make sense to watch both episodes in sequence on the same day….but I just couldn’t wait another week to do that.

The start of the episode is my favorite part. Lawrence moves on Pat with his favorite weapon and Tigress shows up to “play” with Courtney and Barbara.

Ok, hard to say with Lawrence wasn’t in his villain outfit as Sportsmaster….but I bet he was way too confident. He thought that beating Pat wouldn’t be any problem and didn’t get into his outfit that might have protected him from that little back-stabber 😉

I did enjoy how he started rather friendly, but his sinister character showed more and more. Tigress had some great fight scenes with Courtney and Barbara. Of course I would have rather seen her in her costume…..but that happens if your secret identity gets exposed….

The last minutes were nice as the team was finally in costume again and was just getting into action as the credits started to roll….

I yelled at my TV, but I guess that’s a good sign….as I am eager to see how the season will end!

Of course they will somehow stop the ISA with that evil plan….but what will happen with the bad guys? Will they all show up in season 2 again? Will some end up in prison or get killed?

Will all the good guys survive the season finale? I guess yes….but not 100% sure about it.

The masked …secretary

Well, a little spoiler in the title already? But otherwise you would ask why I would post it here 😉

Well, I do prefer masks that are actually identifiable as masks, since they usually cheat a lot to show unmaskings with these “another face”-masks.

I do enjoy the first scene since her unmasking transforms her from the scared secretary to the confident heroine she is in the movie (more or less).

To bad the villain knows about her secret as he finds her stealing his stuff. In my version he would find her there and they start to fight. At some point his hand grabs onto her face and damages her mask. Of course he gets curious and unmasks her in a long struggle revealing Chan Lee. A woman who he trusted to train his ninja tropps.

Stargirl – Season 1, episode 11 – ………

And now all the action scenes from episode 11 of Stargirl:

……

……..

… well that’s all the action there was in episode 11.

It wasn’t a bad episode, but there was no action at all. No scenes with the masked heroines.

Pretty much an episode to tell some background stories. We get to know much more about Courtney’s father who gets into town, also the Shining Knight is a big topic.

We get some scenes with the bad guys that actually move the storyline forward. Especially with Brainwave who tells Icicle that Courtney is Stargirl…. #exposed!

All this prepares us for the two final episodes of the season.

I’m looking forward to these and hope that Stargirl and her team get a lot of screentime there!

 I really hope that season 2 will deal a bit more with the actual storyline, and I think it will since there won’t be the need to introduce all these characters anymore, besides the new ones from season 2.

I hope that Stargirl will take care of every bad guy who knows her secret.

I wonder what they will do in season 2…will there be a bunch of new villains? Will Stargirl and her team fight “normal” criminals as well?

The masked woman and the kinky dungeon

I thought long IF I should upload this scene at all and also on which platform. I thought it may be ok for youtube with an age restriction. I mean this TV show was running on german TV …so it should be even ok without the 18+ age restriction, but I want to be on the safe side….so I uploaded it to Google Drive as Youtube, as an american company, might have issues with these kind of scenes.

The reason why I didn’t upload this one earlier is the fact that there is a masked woman, even an unmasking …..BUT something else is happening in this video that might be …problematic… for some viewers.

#Breathplay …the extreme version

Well, certainly a scene that could start some discussions! 😉

For those who don’t speak german, let me explain:

The masked woman is actually the wife of the guy that is chained to the chair. She actually hires a dominatrix for him to satisfy his desires.

She then realizes that she can’t give him what he needs (a little late), but she loves him so much (which she is saying to him in the scene) and doesn’t wanna share him with others. So she decides to kill him….. the way he might be enjoying the “most”.

Well, perhaps not the most……sane…..reaction from her 😆

She puts on the outfit and mask to “blend in” in that “club” or whatever that is.

Quite a remarkable scene…especially as it is placed in crime TV show that runs at prime time (more or less).

Stargirl – Season 1, episode 10 – Wildcat and Stargirl VS Brainwave, Dragon King and his henchmen

….yeah, Hourman and Dr. Mid Nite were also there, but only at the end and they don’t get involved in the main fight.

After the last episode with practically no action….this one delivered big time!

The whole team is back in action as they try to free Brainwave. So we get a great action scene and a ….dramatic….finale in this episode.

Love the fight scene in the first video, very well made! Good to see how Wildcat and Stargirl are working together.

Ok, mainly Wildcat has to save Stargirl’s neck, but good she saves her team captain as she needed it.

Also it was interesting to finally see the face of the Dragon King. Pretty sure he survived that blast….as surviving is his speciality 😉

The henchmen of the Dragon King could use an “upgrade”. Basically they seem completely mindless, they are unarmed and are “only” a threat in big groups. Pretty much like Zombies….just without the teeth.

I really love the ending. Dark, bitter and sad…..but very fitting. Brainwave was always a maniac (in the TV show), so killing his son was a fitting choice.

And now Brainwave’s memory is back which means he knows who Stargirl is. Won’t be hard to figure out the others.

This is exactly why Stargirl should have finished the job as she defeated him. He was in a coma, but there was the chance that he would awake form it. Ok, would be kind of “unheroic” to kill someone in a coma….but he is an evil maniac who knew too much. And now Henry is dead, that wouldn’t have happened. Well ok, his whole story would change completely then as he wouldn’t discover his abilities this early.

A part of me hopes that Brainwave would now go after Pat, Barbara and/or Mike to get his revenge on Stargirl. That would show Courtney how important it is to keep a secret identity…..secret.

Looking forward to the last 3 episodes of the season!

Stargirl – Season 1, episode 9 – Wildcat VS Henry

The newest Stargirl episode didn’t had much action.

Well, it had barely none to be honest. Stargirl wasn’t at all in the episode, but at least Wildcat got some screentime…even it was less than 90 seconds…..

The episode title is “Brainwave” and that shows what this episode is about. Most of the episodes were focusing on one character so his/her origin story and to focus on him.

And that’s a little problem what I have with this show so far. Don’t get me wrong, I really like the show and especially enjoy all scenes with Stargirl and Wildcat. But now with 9 out of 13 episodes of season 1 aired…..the real story of the show JSA vs ISA hasn’t really moved forward since they are focusing so much on character introduction.

On one hand that’s a good thing, because you really get to know the characters. On the other hand the main storyline and the action comes too short.

And after episode 9 “Brainwave”…the next one is called “Brainwave Jr.”.

The scene with Wildcat was nice, even I really hate these mind reading abilities as Henry knew immediately that Yolanda is Wildcat 🙁

They really need to get him onto their side…otherwise they would have a massive problem.

However, it was an interesting episode as to see the background of Brainwave and how his son is handling it.

Also the dinner with Jordan aka Icicle was intense as one of the big villains was at the some table with Courtney.

No big surprise, Brainwave is finally awake now, and as he knows Stargirl secret as well……another big danger arises for the team.

And luckily, judging from the trailer for the next episode, we seem to get some action at least in the next one:

Masked, female ninja on a rescue mission [American Ninja]

I watched these “American Ninja” movies as a kid and decided to check them out for masked women, and I did find some scenes!

In this flick, we have the american ninja and a woman infiltrating the HQ of the villain. He is already in costume and knocks out some guards outside. She get one of their outfits and becomes a ninja herself (her transformation isn’t shown in the movie).

Now they are in the base and wanna free her dad who gets used by the villain for his evil plans 😉

Damn, she looks really smashing in the outfit and mask!

As usual, there are quite some things that could have been done better….but well, I’m happy about this scene!

A shame she wasn’t trained in any martial arts, would have been much cooler if she actually would participate in a fight.

On the other hand, we get a decent unmasking scene, even if it’s “only” a self unmasking.

There are no more scenes of her in mask.

They should make a series of new movie of American Ninja, this time with a woman! That would be awesome 🙂

Stargirl – Season 1, episode 8 – Stargirl VS Cindy [+bonus video]

Time to talk about episode 8 of Stargirl!

For starters I have a scene without any masked women. Why do I post it? Well, watch for yourself and you will know:

I love the suspense in the whole scene! I was waiting the whole time that Cindy would expose Courtney as being Stargirl…but it doesn’t happen.

It seems that Courtney’s secret is still safe, but at the last moment Cindy does reveal that she knows that it is Courtney who masked herself as Stargirl. And she immediately threatens Courtney’s friends. Cindy’s behavior with these chocolates perfectly presents how evil she is, maybe a little over the top 😉

Beth…..you did it again! This time she called Wildcat by her real name. Cindy could have heard that as she was already on her way to that room.

A very dangerous habit….They really have to do better than that!

Luckily Yolanda changed into Wildcat and saved her from being found by Cindy.

The fight between Cindy (as she wasn’t in costume) and Stargirl was pretty intense, good action! And this time Stargirl didn’t loose, it was more like a tie as Cindy was grabbed by these…..snake-people. Guess we will get a third fight between these two pretty soon.

At the end…Brainwave Junior aka Henry also finds out that Stargirl is Courtney (just like his father) which endangers her and her friends even more.

The question is now, how the three who know who Stargirl is will deal with it.

– Brainwave senior is in a coma, but could awake in every episode and would use that knowledge I think

– Cindy/Shiv told that that secret would be safe with her….but that can change if she sees any advantage in telling her dad or someone else

 – Henry isn’t a villain so far, and his reaction leaves every option open…. the synopsis and the trailer for the next episode show a certain…possible direction for him

It will be interesting to see what happens to Cindy, what plans has her father with her?

And also what will Stargirl and her team do next?

The new Batwoman…. is …. Javicia Leslie!

Well, the last weeks were pretty quiet around the second season of Batwoman…. untitl NOW!

I thought this casting news would be presented at the DC Fandome event next month, but here it is already:

The new Batwoman (aka Ryan Wilder) has been found!

–

First, here are some facts about Javicia Leslie:

– She is 33 years young and 5′ 3½” (1,61 m)

– She is bisexual

– She was actually born in Augsburg, Germany (#yeah) and moved to the US as a young child

– Javicia has already (lead) TV experience as she played in TV shows such as “God Friended Me”, “The Family Buisness” and “McGyver”

– According to IMDB “Javicia Leslie is also trained in Muay Thai, Boxing, Weapons, Dance, Track, and Swimming and regularly trains in an extensive Fitness Bootcamp”.

My opinion:

I love the fact that all the predictions about who the new Batwoman would be were totally wrong….never ever I heard her name in all these past weeks.

Ok, I never have seen her on my TV so far, but it’s good that she has already some experience as a lead actress on TV.

So she knows about the workload that comes with it and is already used to it contrary to Ruby Rose was as she was Batwoman.

In my opinion Javicia is a little too small for the role (even shorter than Ruby) but ok, with the bat ears and the boots she will look a bit taller than she is 😉

It’s great that she does a lot of fitness and has experience in some martial arts, on her Instagram account you can find some pictures where she does different sports. I hope she will be able to do a lot of her own stunts.

I still bet that Javicia Leslie as “Ryan Wilder” will only be a temporary Batwoman and that Kate Kane will return in season 2 at one point. So, I’m sure this won’t be the “only” new Batwoman we will get to watch in this season. Perhaps she will then be a sidekick/partner in the field and fights alongside the Kate Kane Batwoman.

It seems that the new Ryan Wilder Batwoman is gay and Javicia is bisexual…..but to be honest, that’s not important to me. Totally ok.

However Javicia looks gorgeous and I can totally imagine her under the Batwoman cowl, looking forward to the first official images. I’m 100% sure we will get some pictures and a teaser at the DC Fandome event next month.

Stargirl – Season 1, episode 7 – Stargirl VS Shiv

A new villainess enters the stage in episode 7 of Stargirl….Shiv!

And she proves to be a worthy opponent….at least.

That was a good episode! Basically the origin episode for Shiv. Or one of them since the next episode is called “Shiv: Part Two”.

I think it’s a little weird that Courtney chooses to get friends with Cindy, who is the meanest girl in school. OK, she doesn’t have much friends so far, and perhaps she wants to see the good in her, but it seems a little off.

A shame that Shiv doesn’t have a mask for her costume, but seemingly the villains aren’t really much into protecting their “civilian” identities so much with some exceptions (Sportsmaster, Tigress(?- face paint).

The fight between these two is really well done! Great action 🙂

I am wondering: Does Stargirl know what damage the staff can do to others? She send Brainwave into a coma and now completely burned Shiv’s face what might have killed her if she wouldn’t have super powers. Was it Stargirl’s intention to kill her? Hard to say….I guess not.

Stargirl was lucky as she was rescued by the….janitor! Will be interesting to see, as I don’t know the Stargirl comics, who he actually is or was. Is he a survivor of the old JSA team?

Also Stargirl was lucky (again) that Shiv decided to leave rather then to stay and to finish her…and/or unmask her! Seemingly she was hurt and/or afraid that the sword wielding Janitor might return. 😉

Pat should be more careful with shouting her real name, even he couldn’t know the whole time that she was in costume.

Well, it seems that Stargirl’s secret identity is in big danger….at least. Clearly seems that Shiv figures out who she is.

With that all their secret identities are in big danger. I am afraid that soon all villains will knows who is behind their masks 🙁

And even worse, I think they wont even need to really unmask them…in the only “right” way 😉

Really curious to see how the story goes on! And of course I hope to see Wildcat in action as well…

If her secret gets exposed, she should deal with all the villains who know…so that her secret is safe again.

The masked woman from outer space!

I have checked the episodes of this TV show for another reason and stumbled upon this scene.

A masked woman enters a spaceship. She is being followed by some masked men who wanna catch her.

Can she escape them? Will she make it to safety?

Ok, her mask isn’t exactly an attractive one….BUT it does the job of concealing her face really well, especially in combination with that hood.

It’s a shame that the unmasking happens more or less off-screen.

On the good side, I liked the aspect of him holding onto her mask as he unmasked her.

And her surprised/shocked face right after the unmasking is a bonus as well!

I didn’t watch the whole episode so far, from what I understand by skipping through it, her folks see her as a murderer and thereby pursuing her relentless.

In the whole episode, they try to convince the good guys to hand her over so they can kill her.

There are no other scenes with masked women in this one after that.

“Night Warrior: The Reluctant Heroine” by Bluestone

For today I wanna present a new video from Bluestone.

Official storyline:

This is the continuation of the storyline that began in “Teen Bat 5: New Kid In Town”, where Teen Bat was defeated.

Teen Bat has gone missing, so her mentor (in sexy civilian clothes) heads out to track her down, but her search is interrupted by a Collector. He attacks and chloroforms her into unconsciousness. He seems to know that she was the heroine known as Night Warrior, who has since retired from the heroine game undefeated. While she’s unconscious, the Collector dresses her in her Night Warrior costume (off screen) and decides to collect her instead of Teen Bat for his employers. When she awakens, he announces her fate, but she doesn’t accept it, giving him a beating as he tries to subdue the costumed heroine. Night Warrior dominates the fight initially, but the Collector begins to wear her down.

My opinion on it:

Another fine video from Bluestone! The new heroine does a good job in portraying Teen Bat’s mentor and looks just stunning in her civilian clothes and her heroine outfit.

As usual in these Bluestone videos there is quite a lot of peril waiting for the heroine and some very good action shots can be found in this one as well.
