Well, here is the first full scene of one of the movies included in it.

There is a masked assassin who likes to strangle people at night. And this one is now targeting the “heroine” of the movie.

A detective is protecting her why she sleeps in her apartment.

But that sleep will be interrupted pretty soon 😉

By the way…the naked woman is a former victim of the strangler that has a “psychic connection” to the lead character.

There are more scenes of the masked strangler but only short flashbacks/visions that doesn’t show much.

Isn’t that a really great scene?

I love the struggle, and how she tries to get a good grip on the mask. And I love how the masked woman tries to prevent the unmasking and her facial expression as the mask finally comes off.

And it was quite a surprise that the strangler actually was a woman, since nothing had pointed in that direction. I am not even sure if that was the same actress under the mask in the whole scene. She is very tall, but in some shots it looks a bit like they used a stunt GUY….but not sure about it.

The movie itself is “just” ok, but this scene….has a really well done unmasking! 🙂

A great complilation of masked villainesses!

Today I wanna feature a GREAT compilation on this site. And thanks again to the guy who pointed me towards it!

A compilation of masked villainesses of all sorts. In under 4 minutes you will see a lot of great scenes. 🙂

Some of them were already featured here on this blog, and one scene can even be found on my sister blog frogwoman.org.

But as a matter of fact, I don’t know some of these scenes.

Perhaps some of you can fill in some of the blanks as well!

I only identified 5 of fitting movies/TV shows. Pretty disappointed by that. Guess I have seen one or two of the other scenes, but not sure.

A nice user asked about a clip on Youtube, if I would know from which movie it was. The title already provided the actual (very common) title, but the wrong year.

I found out about the movie and the scene should be on this blog as well.

Story: Some kidnappers have kidnapped a boy from a wealthy family. But he isn’t as harmless as he has some evil powers….

If there were some burglars like her…I would be a security dude at a museum! 😉

I like the fact that she really wanna protect her identity.

She even wears sun glasses to that mask!

Damn, I wish that security guard would have caught her, tried to unmask her, but in the end she would have gotten away.

A shame that her unmasking wasn’t shown in the episode, even all knew by then who she was (if you have watched the whole thing).

Just a normal day in the week…

Cruising home in the sun with the jeep… a masked woman drives by… shoots at you… a car chase… an unmasking….well, just a normal day at the office!

Hmh, a pretty unusal scene after all.

Would have been great to see her more …with the mask on. And I even think that it is a stuntman in the scene where “she” is shooting at the guys.

However it has a nice unmasking! Again a little for fighting and stuggling would have been great before the unmasking, but the unmasking itself is done rather well.

I love masks which really cover the face of the woman behind it. Always a great mystery to find out who she is underneath. 🙂

I wish someone would have been able to attack her and would have tried to unmask her….but no luck.

Nevertheless it’s a great moment when she reveals her beautiful face at the end.

Beware of this….”pig”!

A pig? On this blog? Well, actually it is a masked woman….who is wearing some sort of miss piggy mask  😉

A man wanders around the red light district in Amsterdam. He finds something unusual that attracts his attention….

Don’t trust women who wear pig mask… 😆

Even there is no actual unmasking in the scene….a find it rather interesting. The mystery of her mask is very sexy. The music is brilliant in my opinion. First suspense/thrilling music and then some sort of kids-song as he gets murdered…interesting combination!

I included two scenes from later on in that same episode to show her unmasked face.

Batwoman – and her different MASKS on the CW TV show

I am sure many of you noticed that Batwoman (Ruby Rose) has worn two different masks so far. First, we saw her in the Crossover with her “regular” mask and wig. And now, in the trailer from last week, she wore a different mask without a wig (the pilot plays years BEFORE the Crossover).

Where are the differences? Well, as I have a Dr. in ….maskoligy…..I will try to show them to you 😉

For starters, let’s me present her “regular” mask that she will wear from the ending of episode 1 (most likely):

There are at least 3 differences from her regular mask (pictures 1-6) to the mask she wears for most parts of the trailer (pictures 7-12). I believe that it is just a size-modified Batman cowl that Luke Fox made to fit Batwoman’s head.

The differences:

1) most obvious – Her regular mask includes a flashing red wig. Therefore I think her, the material on top of her head was removed, the cowl seems open, her wig is right on her real hair.

I don’t think her wig is “glued” to the top of her mask. Even it would make some things easier (for the actress).

2) The whole shape is different!

The modified Batman mask is much rounder as her regular one. It looks bigger to me (volume/capacity).

You can see the shape of her ear on the regular one (picture 2) and it fits better to her head in my opinion.

3) The eye section!

If you compare the mask around her eyes…you can see that the material of the modified Batman mask is flat. On her regular mask, it is shaped much different. It looks menacing (like it should be) and should provide much better protection for her if someone would score a hit in that area. With that shape, it should hurt to hit her there 😉

Things I would like to know about these masks:

1) From what material(s) are they made off?

I think that it is rather some “hardened kind of plastic” like Christian Bale’s Batman cowl. Personally I would love if it would be made out of thick rubber, that could be stretched a bit (for unmasking purposes of course 😉 )….but I don’t think it is.

2) Is the back section of her regular mask “closed” as well?

You can see that her Batman-mask is “closed” (pictures 7 and 11) at the back of her head.

Due to the wig, we couldn’t see the back of the cowl on her regular mask. Is it closed as well? In the comics she doesn’t wear a cowl, it “just” covers her face and some parts of the sides of her head. If it is not closed around her head…how it is fixed to stay on it?

3) Does she wear a “cowl of cloth” underneath her mask?

If you check picture 11, you can spot some cloth material that exits her mask on her cheek. And on pictures 2 and 7 you can see that this cloth material covers her neck from the top of her suit upwards. How far does that cloth material “goes” upwards?

Well, yeah, this …full face helmet of Red Daughter does qualify as a mask to me, even that is not the real purpose of it. It is part of her battle costume and has some functions in a fight as it seems.

Anyway I like the struggle between them, especially in the daylight. Really looking forward on how this will develop in the last episode of the season.

Sexy masked nun-assassins (!) VS evil elves and a vampire Santa Clause (!!)

Well…this clip (and the entire movie) is most…bizarre. A more or less failing horror-comedy….BUT is has three sexy, masked nun-assassins who are fighting VS evil elves and a vampire version of Santa Clause! So don’t show this clip to your kids 😉

I had to edit some seconds of violence out of the clip, so it doesn’t get kicked off YouTube right away. And the ending had to go too, because the clip would get a little too long with it (and no more masked nuns anyhow in it…at the end).
