It’s been nearly one year since the last “Masks off!” post…time to change that!
I have known the “highlight picture” of this comic for years, but I never thought about posting it. I guess I just forgotto post it.
Lucky for us, a friendly guy reminded me of this scene…thanks a lot!
And this scene has a lot to offer! A sexy Spider-woman, some peril scene, and even an unmasking……an unmasking of a special kind!
A little background info: Peter was ordered by his newspaper to make pictures of Spider-man and Spider-woman (who seems to be a criminial), masked and if possible, even UNMASKED!

Well, this unmasking is a rare one!
Unmasked by accident/bad luck. It wasn’t his intention to unmask her. But as her mask ……falls off/slips out of place…. during the fight, he took the chance to take pictures of her unmasked face 🙂
I love the action and peril scenes with Spider-woman. We don’t actually see the unmasking, “only” the result…but nevertheless it is a verrrry interesting scene.
I like the ending as he destroys the pictures of her unmasked face as he realises she isn’t an enemy and actually saved his life.

Well, the last episode from the Flash had some interesting dialogues about secret identities and an unmasking as well.
Even if I hope, I don’t think it will be of impact for further episodes….but let’s see if that gets a real big problem.

Well, what a clumsy/moronic Sherloque Wells! He does try to convince Nora/XS how much her parents care about her….but by saying that he actually exposes the fact that she is his daughter.
And the “weather witch” connects the dots and realises that Nora is XS, who gives up the masquerade and unmasks herself in front of a villainess!
XS is exposed!
Well, these three villains aren’t big villains like Cicada…but I wonder if they use that knowledge later on against her (and her family)?

…well not the ….actual nutj*b who is in the white house right now, but the US President in the Supergirl TV-series.
In this last episode before the Elseworlds crossover event, we got some great lines about her secret identity.
And I know that Supergirl isn’t “masked” and that actually Kara Denvers is the “masked” alter ego (with the glasses and the different hairstyle 😉 ).
However I found this dialogue between the President and Supergirl….very interesting! He wants to know more about Supergirl….MUCH more 🙂

Well, I do love talk about unmaskings and secret identities. And the fact that he tries to force her to give up her secret identity, is kind of sexy 😉
But Supergirl knows about the catastrophic consequences if she would give it up and thereby expose Kara and especially her loved ones. Every villain could easily come after them…
She knows that Supergirl and Kara MUST co-exist to keep her friends and family safe.
And so she doesn’t let her “mask” down 🙂
It was the right choice…..but I am looking forward to the next episodes and the consequences.

For today I got 2 rather short scenes, but interesting stuff.
In the first scene Flashs cowl gets damaged. The rubber of his mask gets ripped in some places. I love it when masks gets damaged….and now imagine a woman behind that cowl…. 🙂

Yeah, how much I wish Supergirl would wear a mask… I like her disguise as Kara. And the fact that she really cares about not being exposed as being Supergirl.
It’s always a little thrill to me that she might be exposed and outed as Supergirl.
Especially that Lena Luthor might find out….she really likes Kara, but has pretty big problems lately with Supergirl…
Let’s see how long Supergirl can protect her secret from Lena. 😉

In the past we had some good “unmasking action”-scenes regarding my top heroine Batgirl. In Batgirl 26 Barbara unmasked herself before her father.
In The Movement 09 we got the hope of seeing Batgirl unmasked in “The Movement” 10 (still in the future). And now I found this future Batgirl cover:
