I added that ending so you could see her fully unmasked without that helmet as well.
Well, that is quite a mask combo! A helmet, a metal mask that covers the areas around the nose and eyes, and a piece of fabric that covers the lower face.
She is very well-protected and also nearly perfectly disguised!
I don’t know why she even covers the lower part of her face… as that fabric won’t protect during a battle… but seemingly her enemies shouldn’t know who this mysterious masked general is.
In my version the bad guy would have been more competent and also been curious to see who is behind that mask 😉
With that masquerade, a great unmasking struggle would have been possible… but no luck.
But all in all a good scene with a great disguise 🙂

Sadly the scene is very short and we see her only masked for a second or two. But it’s a nice unmasking and reveal as the background story of this is really interesting!

Massive Spoilers ahead!
So we have Zoe and Jenna who have been best friends since …forever. Zoe lost her husband a year back and is feeling miserable all the time.
Jenna wants her to date so she would get happy again. Zoe and that “Klaus” guy are dating with kinky BDSM games where she never sees “his” face.
Then she gets ra_ed by “him” and the cops get involved (this all isn’t shown on the show, only told).
This Klaus wants to see her again (quite weird, why would Zoe want that?) and so they set up this meeting… which gets turned into a trap to catch Klaus.
Turns out this Klaus is really Jenna who had some sexual encounters with Zoe in their colleague days.
Jenna wanted Zoe to get happy again and even took this so far as she inserted her some sperm from a sperm donor to impregnate Zoe (to make her happy again – quite a deranged idea…)
But Zoe didn’t want that…. so, in the end, this case goes to trial.
Oh boy, quite a storyline… but with a nice unmasking!
I like that Zoe immediately goes for the mask! This a habit many villains should adopt when they are fighting against masked heroines 😉
I’m not particularly thrilled about most of the episodes from the latest Flash seasons… but this one …. this one is different 🙂
The Batwoman TV show had an unsatisfying ending as it ended as a normal season would end. And a few weeks later it was announced that there wouldn’t be another season at all.
But luckily, Batwoman now returned… even if it was only for a scene in the Flash show.
And she isn’t the only masked woman in this scene 🙂

It felt really good for me to get this final appearance from Batwoman/Ryan one year after the Batwoman show ended pretty abruptly.
Also cool that a Ryan Wilder from another dimension is Red Death here, the masked villainess.
She also appeared in the two previous episodes but sadly she unmasks herself very quickly so there is no suspense about who she really is.
Somehow funny how she carried her self-unmasking fetish over to a new masked character 😆 …. 🙁
Sadly her mask is a high-tech thingy and these self-unmaskings are really lame.
Would have been so great if that would have been a normal rubber cowl and they would find out who she is by unmasking her.
But… as often… that seems to be a big taboo.
Flash gets actually captured and tied up by the villains in a previous episode and one actually wants to unmask him.
But then another mentions that the Flash cowl would electrocute everyone who would try that… and then the topic is off the table completely 🙁
Of course, I hoped here that Red Death would rip apart Batwoman’s rubber cowl in order to show her dominance… but no luck 😆
At least Red Death gets unmasked here, even if it is so quick that is hard to see… and they cheated with the unmasking of course….
I am very glad though about this fight as it’s quite rare to have a fight with two masked women!
Later this month I will re-watch the last season of Batwoman as one year has passed since the last episode was aired.
Damn… I really miss having a TV show with a masked woman as the lead character….
Well, quite a good unmasking 🙂 , and a nice surprise for Ivy!
Ok, as mostly I do have some issues, let’s start with those:
It’s a little shame that she doesn’t fit back or at least says something before she gets unmasked.
It would have been great if the unmasking would have been shown with more panels.
Also, it always annoys me that the mask seemingly goes off that easy, I mean the cowl shouldn’t go off like that with a quick yank.
The material below the chin should prevent that. Here it looks like that material just ripped very easily as there is such a gap in it.
But ok, enough nitpicking… it’s so rare that you see Batgirl getting unmasked by a villain! And here it is not just any villain, it’s Poison Ivy!
Glad that Poison Ivy immediately recognizes Daphne and is so shocked about the reveal. She is shocked much more than Daphne… which tells a little bit that Daphne is just pretending to be THE Batgirl.
Normally Batgirl should be completely devastated if she gets unmasked like that… after all this could be the end of her crime-fighting career.

Really weird, I actually saw most of the seasons of this TV show including the one with this scene, but somehow I totally forgot about it, I guess I didn’t make notes back then like I do nowadays.
So, what do we have here? We have Oliver Queen getting attacked by a masked female ninja!

Yeah, sadly a rather short scene with an even shorter fight, and we don’t get a good look at the masked ninja….
…. BUT we get a masked female ninja that actually gets unmasked by someone else! And she isn’t unconscious or tied up! 🙂
That is rather rare and my favorite version of an unmasking. Ok, she could have struggled longer and put up more of a fight, but after all, she actually knows him and didn’t want to really hurt him.
The reveal is done well as we fully see how he unmasks her, the camera doesn’t cut away.
There is a tiny continuation error as he has her pinpointed down. First, the (weirdly red) tip of her nose is showing, but a second later the fabric is covering it up… quite a magic mask she has 😉
I’m quite jealous of him in this scene. I wouldn’t mind swapping places with him…
One day I will have to re-watch the Smallville show from beginning to end, even though I’m already buried under a pile of movies and TV shows that I need to watch or re-watch.
A good disguise and quite a dramatic turn of events.
I think she overreacted big time, I mean her partner was beaten with a bat, ok, but that’s no reason to shoot someone.
And if she shoots it doesn’t need to be a deadly shot.
Ok, it was pretty dark… but that boy with his bright shirt was still visible well enough…
All in all a solid scene.
Later in the movie, we have terrorists in gas masks. There is also one female terrorist, but she is infiltrating the event as a waitress and the only terrorist that doesn’t wear a gas mask at any time.
It has a masked killer in it… and as the scene is here on the blog… you know what that means 😉

If you have seen the movie you already [su_spoiler]knew who would be under the mask at this point as she was revealed to be a killer some scenes before (without costume)[/su_spoiler]
That basically kills even the small thrill such a self unmasking brings. If you haven’t seen the movie you have at least a hasty reveal by watching the video.
The Scream movies have by now 2 masked female killers.
That could be very interesting in terms of masked women and secret identities but there are 2 major problems for me.
– The costume of Ghostface is completely unisex as you can’t see if there is a man or a woman in it.
– And the killer self unmasks in basically every reveal which is… lame!
It would be really great if the costume would have some sex appeal at least and someone would actually try to unmask the killer in a struggle.
Would be really great to have a masked female killer struggling to keep her secret identity a….secret.
Then you could have a dramatic unmasking/reveal in the end when the killer gets unmasked by someone else!
But sadly…. this happens so rarely. 🙁
Well, maybe next time, seems like the Scream franchise will go on for a while…

Why? Well, the whole (short) movie was uploaded to Youtube by the guy who made it and this is basically just a part of it with one edit.

She looks really good in that mask, a shame that she unmasks herself, even if it is done in a good way without cuts.
In my version, the guys would have given up easily and she would have battled the two cops who then would have unmasked her after some serious struggle.
But ok, this movie is made for kids…. so that wasn’t an option 😉
In the end, it’s a nice reveal of a stunning young woman, so I think it’s a solid scene all things considered.
In the last weeks, I posted about the new Irma Vep TV show and the movie from 1996.
But Irma Vep actually first appeared in a movie serial in ….1915! Yes……1915!
Yes, that means black and white + no sound…just some added music.
I’m certainly a total beginner when it comes to movies THAT old but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this movie serial may include the first unmasking of a woman in a movie!
After all, this was just about 20 years after the first movie was made and they didn’t make that many movies back then in the early days of cinema.
I didn’t upload this on Youtube as the Youtube police might have some issues with it. After all her costume is very stretchy and you can see through it sometimes.
It’s not hard to see that she isn’t wearing a bra underneath it so her nipples show in some shots. That’s why I slightly censored the pictures of her as well. I don’t know exactly how far I can go on this blog.
But don’t worry, the video isn’t censored 😉
Back then there was a big discussion about her costume as the movie serial was released, remember it was 1915 and that costume did move a lot of eyebrows (and other parts) back then.
Even today this costume would be troublesome (for some), especially in color and HD 😉
I think the mask combo is interesting with a cowl that is attached to the suit and an additional fabric that covers the face.
The mask of the new TV show is similar but there only the lower part of her face is covered by an additional piece of fabric.
With this mask, Irma is rather easy to unmask, as one quick pull is enough to expose her face (except the cowl part).
I like how he is immediately going for her mask to see the face of the masked thief he just caught. I don’t get why she didn’t resist him as he reaches for her mask, that’s a little minus point for me.
However, it is such a great fantasy to catch such a masked thief…. I wouldn’t mind being in his skin 😉
I guess I need a mansion and some valuables to attract thieves like her 😆
I added the scene with her replacement to the video as it is never wrong to have another masked woman in it, especially as the “masking” is in the video. (is that even a word?)
All in all a very interesting scene, even though it is in black and white and there is no sound (except music).

In my opinion, the scene is very interesting but there are a lot of negative aspects for me.
It is shot in black and white (which is unsexy) and the scene has no audio as it is only a presentation for the movie makers who wanna check out what they have filmed earlier in the day.
As you can see in the ending the director isn’t happy about it at all and is arguing with the camera guy.
Sadly it’s not shown as they are actually filming it. 🙁
And I still don’t get why Irma Vep isn’t resisting as he unmasks her. (as in the original from 1916)
In the new TV show, the scene is done differently, and that is my favorite version:
In this one, the acting is quite…. off… a little bit.
On the plus side, it has a sexy cat burglar in latex(!) with a full face mask! Certainly, a fantastic outfit to create some great scenes with it…. which they are barely doing.
Imagine a cat burglar in that outfit and mask on a heist, getting caught by security guards… and then battling against them as they try to pin her down and unmask her 😉
I checked these movie ages ago and back then I didn’t think it was very interesting.
After I watched the whole, new TV show with Irma Vep…I gave it another try and watched the whole movie.
And I have to say, it has some interesting aspects….even the movie itself isn’t really good…in my opinion.

These 5 minutes are my favorite minutes are certainly my favorite part of the movie.
I had to cut the first part short as she was peeping on a fully naked woman… that would have been a problem on Youtube.
Especially in comparison to the new TV show, I am no big fan of the overall movie.
BUT, it certainly has some interesting scenes!
First of all, there is a scene where the Irma Vep actress is shown as she tries her latex catsuit for the first time (it only starts as she is fully in it).
It gets more interesting as it gets revealed in a dialog that she asked her costume designer if she could buy the suit after the movie filming was finished.
VERY interesting as it implies she really enjoys wearing it… and that fact gets discussed in the movie 🙂
The video here starts as she runs around in her own hotel with the catsuit… she REALLY likes to wear it 😉
Oddly she doesn’t wear a mask to it. This way every person she would accidentally run into… would see her (a famous actress) running around in that suit!
Seems like she enjoys the danger of getting caught as well 😉
I really enjoy it as she sneakily runs around the hotel after she had stolen the jewels, incl. the sounds of her latex suit.
Her latex suit is really sexy and it gets even better when it gets wet by the rain!
And I think it’s now wet from both sides 😉
Obviously, she then falls asleep on her bed, still wearing her suit! Who knows what she has done after she returns from her little heist….
Her costume designer and that hotel guy find her on her bed dressed like that. I wonder what the two think about that!
Certainly, the costume designer (who is in love with her) has full proof now of how much she likes to wear the suit.
I added the last bit as it has that short self unmasking in it.
It am not sure that the stunt double is wearing a latex suit as long the camera isn’t close. It looks more like spandex to me in that part. Maybe she could easier move around in that.
In the close up she certainly is wearing the latex suit and she looks great in the full outfit with a mask.
In the beginning, the costume designer had a rather unsexy latex mask with zippers on every opening, but that wasn’t chosen as you can see.
It’s a shame that there isn’t any real action as long she is in latex and mask… the possibilities…
Imagine she battling some guards or cops in that outfit! Some unmasking attempts, some mask damage… she slowly panics as she is desperately trying to escape…

However, it’s not often you see a cat burglar in latex in a movie or TV show… so I am happy about these scenes!
Episode 1 of season 3 was a classic season opener for me. Much story to tell, little action.
And that means that Stargirl and co only had VERY limited screen time in this one. Two relatively short scenes with little action.
Certainly an interesting episode, but regarding material for this blog…. there was very little there.
On the good side, there were up to 4(!) masked women in these two short scenes! 🙂

Minor Spoilers ahead…
Storywise, I am not sure about the idea that all the JSA and Injustice League are now working together.
Not surprisingly characters like hourglass and Wildcat are not happy about working together with former villains and villainesses.
It’s a rather safe bet that it won’t work for too long 😉
Sadly, they all know each other’s …not so secret…secret identities so it would be SO easy for the bad guys to get the upper hand, but I think they won’t exploit that at all :-(.
Interestingly there were newspaper reports in this one about strange sightings that were caused by Stargirl.
Perhaps the public will FINALLY be aware that there are masked heroes and villains running around their city.
Then the masks would actually be really useful again as …so far… the heroes and villains only battled each other… while the normal people were not aware that these folks even exist.
And that would open some interesting possibilities….
Looking forward to the new episodes and ….hopefully…. there will be much more action with the many masked ladies of this show!

So far, I didn’t post anything from her from the final episodes 6-8. I hardly doubt there will be a 2nd season as the storyline is finished.

Ok, your first question might be …why she can suddenly move through walls… 😉
Well, there is no simple answer to that, at least not for me. First I thought she would imagine these nightly adventures as Irma Vep in her catsuit.
I mean she is basically just a spectator… but not always. The necklace is really gone afterward, she really stole it.
So, she seemingly has the superpower to go through walls will being in her Irma Vep role… kind of odd, but well….works for me.
Important to know is that she knows both of them (he was her director in the past, she her lover/assistant) and that they are talking about her in some scenes.
That makes a very interesting scene, even though I had hoped they would eventually see her and confront her.
I mean they would have known who she is without an unmasking…as she has already seen her in that catsuit but without mask and hood.
It’s also a nice twist how our cat burglar gets jealous and then decides to steal the necklace as revenge.
A shame the two ladies hadn’t had another scene with Alicia in catsuit and mask….damn! #fantasy
I really enjoyed the TV show and will re-watch the movie from the 90s shortly.
