Sadly, the picture quality is rather bad… but it’s a rather rare TV show from the 90s, so you won’t find DVD or Blu-ray quality in such a case

Also, both scenes are quite short, especially the 2nd one, where you basically don’t get a single good look at the masked woman.

But enough complaining… I especially love the first scene! I mean, a wheel-flipping Catwoman in such a suit and mask? In the garden? In broad daylight?

Well, he is one lucky bastard! I wouldn’t mind being “attacked” like that….

The mask doesn’t really work for her as he quickly finds out who she is… yeah, the cowl isn’t a great disguise, but she certainly looks great in the suit and mask!

I highly suspect that is a stuntwoman in the suit at first… great job!

Also, a nice reveal when the mask comes off, even though there is a cut after she reaches for it.

I don’t know the reason why she is running around like that… will have to see the whole episode.

I guess she was practicing and wanted to get the role in a movie.

The second scene is a nice addition, even though it’s a shame the masked thief wasn’t shown properly at all.

You just see a masked figure running away from the guy, and she immediately gets unmasked… which isn’t shown properly as well.

Still, a masked female thief gets chased and unmasked… so I am glad the scene is in the episode.

In the end, it’s quite a smashing episode if you have 2 scenes like that in it

Just one issue later, there is another fight… and again(!)…someone grabs into her mask!

Ok, I don’t know if the writer is into unmaskings, or it is just a coincidence… but I love how the guys are going for her mask when they fight her!

This guy is only partially successful in unmasking her, but I love how he grabs into her mask and stretches the fabric

I think the mask could stay on her head with a yank like that, but it’s quite off how it (mostly) pops back into place like that.

The fabric also doesn’t rip, so it must be quite strong (enough).

He certainly doesn’t play around as he hits her quite hard several times.

I would love to know why he goes for her mask, as everyone seems to know who this Evie person is, who is Catwoman here.

Does he think it would weaken her if he unmasks her? Is that his way of dominating her? Or did it happen by accident/at random?

Hard to say…

It’s also interesting that neither he nor she comments on the unmasking attempt in any way… quite a shame

Still, a great scene as in 99.9% of the fight scenes with a masked woman… the mask gets ignored or is completely invincible to damage.

Issue 75 only has a flashback story in it, so I hope for issue 76 for an unmasking… even I BET she is already unmasked and wakes up tied up somewhere

I have to admit… if I had to rate the Batman 60’s TV show and the ’60s movie on IMDB… I would have a really hard time!

On the one hand, they are very crazy, very campy, entertaining, and very funny (often unintentional) and completely over the top.

On the other hand, they are completely insane and much more for kids than adults. They are basically crazy parodies of Batman.

If you would wanna watch a “normal” Batman-action flick… you (normally) won’t pick the old TV show or the movie.

If I watch the old Batman TV show, then I watch season 3 with Batgirl…. for obvious reasons…. even I’m not a big fan of any of the costumes on the TV show (even though they do have their own charm).

Especially the tiny Catwoman eye mask doesn’t work at all for me.

Also not a fan of the costume (‘s material), even though it is at least…. tight, and her pointy bra makes the most of it

The self-unmasking here is ok, but the unmasking through fall…. is really bad for me.

This is a good example of why a mask should be secured well, so it won’t just come off by some random movement or tiny accident.

What is really good here for me is that Bruce Wayne/Batman knows Miss Kitka (always thought it would be “Miss Kitkat”) and is in love with her.

Batman is really shocked as he sees Catwoman’s exposed face. That should tell her that he is Bruce Wayne as he is staring at her for ages…. but well, not in that reality.

I do love her reaction to the sudden unmasking, well done!

Of course, it would have been much better if her would have unmasked her in a struggle… but it is better than a self-reveal from her.

And it’s certainly a rare unmasking… as it is an “unmasking by accident” which is quite rare to find.

Ok, I’m not the biggest fan of the art style, but it’s ok.

I am also not the biggest fan of this Catwoman costume with the mask that feels more like a helmet and isn’t secured in any way (no strap).

From what I understand, Selina took on that “Evie” name as a cover. I need to do some more digging on that.

I do find this unmasking verrrry interesting!

He tries to knock her out from behind, but that doesn’t work.

They struggle to get control over the pistol, he loses it.

Then he immediately grabs into her mask and yanks it off her head before she can react.

A great unmasking! Hard to say what he saw of her face before he got knocked out.

But I guess that doesn’t matter that much, as Catwoman seems to have no (real) secret identity at this point in the comics.

Ok, I don’t know if this guy knows who is behind the mask and what she looks like exactly… maybe someone can comment on this post with some info!

I do love that he immediately goes for her mask! Why he does that? Maybe it’s a power move in order to gain the upper hand?

Maybe he is curious what she looks like? Maybe it was more of an accident in the struggle?

It certainly is a fine example of how easy such an unsafe mask would be pulled off! A quick, simple yank and she is unmasked!

It’s a shame that there is no mask talk here. No introduction from him, no comment from her.

It’s also interesting that she doesn’t even care enough to put the mask back on right away.

Damn, my masked heroine/vigilante/villainess in a story or video wouldn’t behave like that.

However… I really love this scene as it is quite unusual that some guy would just unmask the heroine of the story like that.

Ok, let’s start with the things I love about this one.

Catwoman does get unmasked by the police and they immediately recognize her!

That is indeed awesome!

It’s not a (forced) self-masking but she gets unmasked by someone else and her secret identity is ruined.

That is very thrilling for me and I did make several cuts of this scene incl. a 2-second cut of the actual unmasking

I know that is an iconic Catwoman outfit from the comics and it fits the style of the TV show.

Of course, you can say that her costume is completely…. insane and “unrealistic”.

I mean she shows off 95% of her legs and is wearing high heels… maybe not the best choice for a cat burglar

Very flashy and even more impractical.

I do like the look, but I prefer a Catwoman in a full black suit and cowl.

And speaking of cowl… here her mask is more like a helmet as it isn’t secured by a chin strap.

And I certainly do HATE that!

The unmasking itself is animated well enough, but there a quite some aspects that I didn’t like about it.

It’s Catwomans first encounter with Batman and she immediately gets unmasked and arrested?!?! Well, her crime career here is quite an epic fail

And it’s not the only time she gets arrested in this episode with around 25 minutes of runtime

She gets unmasked while being tied up… also rather uncool for me.

But worst of all: There isn’t a real reaction from her!

She gets unmasked and arrested by the police! That will kill her criminal career very early on.

And she looks as if she would get a parking ticket with a mixture of “slightly annoyed” and “slightly bored”?

That totally killed the possible impact of the situation.

No….. “NO, don’t do that!” … no pleading or a try to escape that unmasking?

She just looks like “Ah well, it was worth a try… tomorrow I will do something else….”

That is all quite annoying for me.

A great scene….

…and also a really bad scene

Have seen 4 episodes of the show so far.

So far so good, will finish it in the next days.

Hopefully, another masked woman will show up… but I’m not counting on it.

So, what makes a good ASMR video for me?

Obviously, the lady and her costume in such an ASMR video are extremely important!

She must be able to portray a sexy and fascinating character.

Plus I need a solid costume and a good mask!

An otherwise good video quickly gets ruined by a crappy 5$ costume…

She must be disguised well enough so that there is a real mystery of “who is behind that mask?”

Also, I love it when there is a good scenario behind it! Like a tied-up Batman that Catwoman is talking to.

She plays with him, teases him, and has an interesting chat with him with some sexy lines in it.

Plus I don’t want too silly elements in it… like a Catwoman who is pouring for minutes or plays with bubble wrap. That is just… weird!

Of course, any talk about secret identities and masks is highly welcome!

And if the character plays with her mask or even unmasks…. that’s a big bonus!

The two Tim Burton Batman movies are really very special to me and I love “Batman & Robin” for one reason as well (starts with “Bat” and ends with “girl”).

I stumbled upon some videos about certain aspects of these early movies and what could have been… if some other decisions would have been made back in the day.

Here is the first one (not my video or upload):

Fascinating!

The fact that McDonalds promoted “Batman Returns” with toys in Happy Meals is just hilarious.

The movie is awesome… but definitely not made for kids.

Seemingly WarnerBrothers and McDonalds were surprised by that?!?

Sadly the movie didn’t make as much money as they hoped and the plan with a Catwoman Spin-off movie was never greenlighted.

But we got the Halle Barry Catwoman flick instead… oh my god!

That is the real tragedy here.

Imagine a movie with Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman as the main character! I might sell my soul for that…

But the quest for toy sales for those damn kids ruined that… and the two toy commercial movies with Schumacher followed.

Even I always will defend “Batman & Robin” as some minutes of Batgirl in that costume just made it so remarkable for me.

And the fact that “Batman Forever” made more money than “Batman Returns”…. is just insane when you compare the quality of the movies.

All the damn kids were allowed to watch “Batman Forever”… the money that “Batman Returns” missed to get.

So, what might have happened if Joel Schumacher had made a third Batman movie?

Verrrry interesting!

A darker movie with that storyline… yeah, would have been interesting to watch for sure, especially with Catwoman appearing again, even if it seemingly would have been just a hallucination.

Scarecrow and Harley as the villains, and hating Bruce Wayne and one hating Batman… yeah, sounds like a good idea!

But yeah, it would have been quite difficult and expensive… to have made that one.

An alternative script for Batman Returns:

Hmh, yeah… these Catwoman scenes could have been awesome as well!

There are basically two Catwoman aspects that I don’t like in “Batman Returns”:

– The fact that she is a secretary who then goes on to have her revenge on her boss (instead of being a master-class thief)

– And that Selina and Bruce learn each other secret identities by re-phrasing that one dialogue that had as Catwoman and Batman.

These two aspects could have been improved for sure with a different script.

But it’s really hard to tell if that script would have made a(n even) better movie.

We will never know…

I’m talking about the “Birds of Prey” TV show.

As I mentioned… there are only a few Batgirl scenes in it as Barbara Gordon is actually Oracle in this show… for most of the time.

But there are some interesting flashbacks in the show’s very first episode.

Well, I think the Catwoman costume is ok. I mean it was just meant to be on screen for some seconds so they didn’t put up a really big effort or budget to make a great one.

But it’s so sad that there once was such a Catwoman and such a Batgirl in Gotham and the show actually starts later on without them.   #scriptcrime

These two (and more) during a full TV show? That would be insanely awesome… maybe one day…

But it’s nice that we get some more Batgirl footage in this one, even the fight in the hallway is cut pretty badly so it’s hard to see much.

The highlight is actually the scene where Batgirl slams into the wall.

If you check that in slow-motion you can actually see how her cowl lifts up quite a lot and she is in danger of getting unmasked! #stuntwoman

Well, as I mentioned in the post where she actually was unmasked…. it is incredibly dangerous to run around with such an unsecured mask.

But I guess it wouldn’t have made much difference in this case as the Joker already knows that Barbara is Batgirl as he shows up at her apartment … #uncool

And it’s a nice bonus to have that self-unmasking in another flashback scene as well!

Well… pretty insane/irresponsible to unmask herself in a public place like that… even at night.

Perhaps she was aware that this was only happening in that mind-control game? Hard to say…

I like how her bat symbol is the only flashing color in that scene… very iconic/symbolic.

I think “The Batman” is a really good movie, a very different movie ….with lots of interesting aspects.

Today I totally wanna focus on the Catwoman role in this one…. the biggest flaw of the movie in my opinion.

Therefore I wanna present the most interesting Catwoman scene of the movie:

I already edited the video material to make it a little brighter… but it is still pretty dark (as the movie is).

Yeah, I am still not happy about Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman.

She plays the role well, but the appearance… is just not “right” for me. She is so tiny, her short hair, her very thin body… no, not like I would imagine the Catwoman to look like.

And her makeshift costume makes it even worse. Yeah, I know she only has been Catwoman for a very short time period… but that goddamn mask is so ugly and her costume is boring as well.

Her upper body in costume is seemingly a bit… padded… as it looks much curvier in comparison to Zoe Kravitz in other clothes (push-up bra?).

If you compare her in that costume with any other Catwoman in the movies so far, she is my least favorite. Hopefully, she will get at least a better costume ….if…. she appears again in the future.

I could go on about that for hours, but I will stop here and write about the scene here.

It’s a solid heist scene and I like the sexual tension between the two a lot… even Keaton/Pfeiffer in “Batman Returns” are on a whole other level… especially in terms of sexy costumes.

It’s a shame that Batman already knows who Catwoman is since he peeped at her as Selina changed into that “costume” (weird scene).

It could have been a nice unmasking scene if Batman would have yanked that ugly mask off and found out that Selina is Catwoman.
